Chapter 4 - Virginity

Guddu and Bablu are in work mode. They have no problem with the gun business anymore. Anything that helps them build a respectable life for themselves is good enough.

I love how well this episode shows their transition from skeptical to accepting individuals. During desperate times it is often the poor, middle class groups who end up submitting to the will of the rich. And despite their struggle, they face the most scorn for abandoning their morals.

Guddu and Bablu are in the same position here. They take their jobs very seriously, but trouble finds them nonetheless.

Guddu and Sweety have decided to go on a date. Munna knows Sweety is going out with someone else and he is already losing his mind. If only he knew who Sweety was dating!

Guddu and Sweety go for an adorable date later in the day and Bablu and Golu accompany them. It's a cute but short lived moment. Guddu is very shy around his beloved Sweety and she seems to enjoy the fact quite a bit.

After that, it's back to work. Bablu and Guddu are being trained to use guns. But the twist is that they have to practice on an actual human being. They have to kill a person. And with tears in their eyes, they do. Maqbool tells them "now that you know how to use guns properly, you are no longer a virgin. Congratulations." That's it. That's all the acknowledgement they get for taking someone's life.

Guddu, who is now on steroids, as per Munna's recommendation, is losing control over himself. He thinks he can do anything now. Power makes a person corrupt. Guddu is now slowly moving towards the dark side while Bablu is still clueless about the sudden change in his beloved brother's behaviour.

Now comes the real task. The brothers have to transport the dead body to the other part of town in a truck. The dead body is wrapped in the carpets and put in the truck. The catch is, they cannot tell the police officers who might stop them that the delivery is being made on behalf of Akhanda.

The two get out of town, where they are inevitably stopped by a police officer. The officer asks Guddu to show him what's in the back, and the episode ends with Bablu struggling to hide the body properly as the officer continues to knock on the back door. Guddu assesses his options and pulls out his gun "just in case." ANYTHING can happen.
