I want to feel sad and depressed for cutting our trip short but every time I see the smile on my fiancé's face.
My depressed feelings get replaced by guilty ones.
Samantha is all over the place and I could not help but feel honored, and so happy that meeting my family is making her this happy.
I know she met my mother but the anxiety of meeting a celebrity or more like her idol showed most of her excitement and I know it's not so good of me to be thinking like how I am doing. But I love it so much that meeting Dad and my sister is making her feel this way.
It quickly overshadows my desire of wanting to keep her to myself.
Ever since she gave me a taste of herself, I have been finding it hard and very hard each passing second to restrain or not be with her.
Although I also love that she also wants me as much as I want her. I mean would I think she would not be any more perfect, nonetheless only she would turn out to surpass my thinking.
"Okay, is it normal for me that I feel excited instead of feeling scared?" She asks once we are walking out of the plane.
After we talked, I called Dad and he was so willing of us to get to Toronto as fast as we could.
Like Samantha suggested the next day at night we flew here, with the time difference it is also night here.
I look at her and shake my head.
"You don't have to be normal darling, normalcy is boring plus excitement looks much better on you than feeling scared." She smiles at me the kind of smile she gives me when she is so touched with me.
"I love you, Kai. Do you realize you are the best friend I have been hoping for my whole life?" I take hold of her hand and lead her out of the plane.
"I would hope so as you are also my best friend."
"We are such a great team." That couldn't be any further from the truth.
This life with Samantha, I would never trade the world for it.
Every time I think of her, it makes me feel glad for the former ambassador's death that allowed Barney Adams to replace him and for everyone who made it happen by bringing Samantha in my way.
It's not good to wish death on people but like they say old lives open the door for new ones.

We walk to my father and sister, as soon as she spots me. She grins before she comes running to me.
I don't let go of Samantha's hand, I hug her with my other free arm close to me.
I can not lie because I also miss my sister so much, we rarely see each other but we always try to talk on the phone as much as we can and catch up with one another.
"I missed you so and so so much big brother." She pulls away after some time. I kiss her cheek and smile at her.
She looks so grown up, I almost can't recognize her.
"I missed you too Mia." She beams at me looking happily at my reply.
Her eyes move to Samantha.
"Samantha." She calls her like they have known each other for so long.
I turn to look at Samantha but she is smiling.
"Is it weird of me to feel like I have known of you for so long?" Samantha chuckles.
"Exactly, I was also telling Kai that instead of feeling nervous about meeting his family for the first time, I feel so excited. It's like we've known each other from the start."
"Come here then." I love their interaction. I think there is nothing out there like seeing your family get along well with the love of your life.
"I feel so glad those feelings are mutual," Mia says once they have pulled away.
"You are so beautiful in person, I can see why my brother kept gushing about how your beauty was so out of the world type of one. We agree on that one bro." Samantha smiles shyly.
"You smell so good too. I love it."
Someone clears their throat and we all turn to look at Dad. He looks like he aged ten years and not just three since I last saw him.
"So you all decided to get the introduction done and catch up while leaving the old man out just because am old?" We all chuckle lightly at Dad's joke. It's so good to know the old man hasn't lost his sense of humor.
"It's so good to see you, Dad," I say moving closer to hug him.
Dad is a very tall man but with age, I don't know he feels so fragile in my arms.
"I was starting to think you forgot you still had a father." We pull away but before I say anything Mia beats me to it.
"Don't even think he came because he missed you, I did all the convincing, the begging so that I could finally meet the beautiful woman over here." Dad turns to look at Samantha and grins.
"My apologies sweetheart, I was not in any way trying to be so rude. Hello Samantha." Samantha smiles moving closer to hug my dad in his open arms.
They pull back and Samantha offers him a shyly greeting back.
"Hello, Mr Royal." He smiles at her.
"I remember last time we had an agreement of where you were calling me Felix, now I think I won't allow it to be that. Call me dad." Samantha blushes wildly making her look cute but am not going to let my father torment her.
"Stop it, Dad, stop shying her," Mia interjected. "Sam, ignore him." Samantha turns to look at me and I nod smiling at her.
"Come let's go, we have so much to catch up on." They help us move our bags in Dad's car before we drive to Dad's apartment.
It's still just like I remember it and going back to my room. It's like I am back to eight years except am not.
Am here full-grown with a fiancé on my side.
I leave mine and Samantha's bags on the bed before walking back into the living room.
"I would have thought you guys would eventually move out but no, want to hold on mine and Mother's last grasp as tightly as you may." I tease Dad and Mia and I catch Mia rolling her eyes.
"Dear, he is still so full of himself just as much as I remember." I grin walking to my fiancé's side.
"It's hard not to be when you have two people madly in love with you." She rolls her eyes again.
"Please we are not Sam, anyway I have to say you went out of the way with the ring you brought her. It's stylish and so beautiful, I approve."
"You approve?" I ask my sister feeling amused with that one. I just can't help but chuckle at her. She nods her head looking so proud of herself while I shake my head. Unbelievable!
Who knew I needed my sister's approval to buy my fiancé's engagement ring?
I turn to her. "And somehow you are surprised because you thought you were the only fashionista in the family."
"Obviously." I roll my eyes.
"Oh you wish, last I checked I was the CEO of the fashion and model company."
She groans and I love agitating her this way.
Samantha is smiling at us and I love that she is not finding us boring.
"Dad, I can't with your son."
"It's me who really can't with you all, am trying to make something for my beautiful soon to be daughter in law but you too really are stressing me out."
"Oh now you have another daughter so am stressing you out," Mia whines before turning to Samantha when Dad ignores her.
"Do you like pizza? Please say yes because cute girls love pizza."
Samantha nods. "I do."
"Bloody yes, I knew it. So you would not mind it for dinner?" She asks and then turns to look at Dad. "Please don't tell my agent I ate it because I am craving it." Dad looks at her and shakes his head.
"Samantha hasn't even allowed it yet and you are already ordering it in your head." I chuckle at them.
I missed them so much.
Mia's eye socket bugs out when she realizes what Dad just said is true.
"Am sorry, I am just craving pizza and some cheeseburger. I have been on this diet for this Versace runaway shoot. I mean it's a huge deal for me, there will be so many big names in the fashion world but I think I have had enough restrain and I can't no more."
"It's fine either pizza or cheese burger it's all fine with me." She smiles at her and comes and hugs Samantha.
"You are the best sister already, I can't imagine having anyone else beside you." Samantha just smiles as Mia disappears to make her order while Dad leads us into the living room.
"Are they overbearing you?" I asked Samantha when Dad went to make tea for us.
She shakes her head. "No, they are fine, and am glad they seem to like me."
"Love darling, I told you they would love you." She nods her head.
"Am glad, you have such a beautiful family, it's making me miss mine and the good times we used to have." I lean in and kiss her forehead.
"I promise you that one day everything will be fine with your parents." I don't know what would make me promise her that but if it's the last thing I have to do then so be it.
She looks at me but before she would say anything, Mia joins us.
"The food will be here soon." She comes and sits beside Samantha.
"So love birds, now that I have you in front of me tell me everything." Samantha smiles.
"What do you want to know?"
"Everything, how you met, how he asked you out, how you started dating everything, and how he proposed." Samantha grins and I also have a beautiful smile on my face as she goes in our story to Dad and my sister.
"Oh my God, you guys loved each other at first sight." It was then that my sister voiced it that I realized it was true.
I had fallen in love with Samantha when she walked out of that house in a white pantsuit with red lips and a gorgeous look on her face.
My love grew the moment she opened her mouth and conversed with me in that very car.
Every word she said, made me smile and for the first time in a very long time, I had a genuine smile and laugh on my face.
She looks up at me like she is also thinking of our first time meeting.
I look in her eyes and my soul speaks to hers. 'You were my love at first sight darling.' Her smile grows like she would hear me.
That memory, that very first time.
I want to forever hold it treasurable in my head like a treasure that it is.
The time we spend with my family seeing Samantha bond very well with Dad and Mia makes my heart melt and the love I have for her grows each time I know I have to repay her by making things right with her family so she gets to enjoy of what I am enjoying too.
She always makes me wonder where such a heart she has was made from.
