Y/N's POV
"Now he's just being an idiot." π
Mr. Idiot casually opened the door like he hadn't just dragged me into the wrong washroom.
Mr. Idiot: "Bro, I just came to seeβthis lady lost her track!" π
I glared at him. I DID NOT LOSE MY TRACK, YOU KIDNAPPED ME!!
The guy standing outside, his friend, turned his head to look at me.
Mr. Idiot's Friend: "Well, the ladies' washroom is on the right side." π
Without another word, Mr. Idiot just turned around and left me thereβlike I was his problem and not his fault.
I stood there, stunned. Did he just leave me with his friend?!
Nope. Not happening. I ran from there.
???: "HEY, WAIT!!" π±
I heard his friend calling after me, but I didn't stop. I sprinted through the hallway.
"Oh my god, this is SO embarrassing!!" π¨
Just as I was catching my breath, my phone rang. It was Emma. I picked it up instantly.
"Helloβ" π° I answered, still panicked.
Emma: "WHERE are you?! Are you okay??" π¨ Her voice was full of worry.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself.
"Emma, I'm fine... I'll meet you outside." π
Emma sighed in relief.
Emma: "Okay, I'll wait." π
I hung up, only to feel a tap on my shoulder. I froze. Slowly turning around, I saw himβthe same guy who was with Mr. Idiot.
???: "Ma'am, are you alright?" π
I nodded quickly.
"Yes, I'm fine." π
He scratched the back of his neck, looking a little awkward.
???: "If you say soβ¦ Well, my name is Kayden." π
He extended his hand toward me.
I hesitated, but he seemed harmless.
"My name is Y/N." π I shook his hand.
Kayden: "Where are you headed? I mean, if you're lost, I can help you." π
I shook my head.
"Noβno, I'm not lost. I was just heading home with my friend. But thanks for asking." π
Kayden smiled.
Kayden: "Oh, okay then. Can I walk with you? I mean, if you don't mind." π³
He looked⦠kind of cute. And harmless.
"Yeah, I don't mind." π
We got into the elevator together.
Kayden: "So, you didn't shop for anything?" π
"No, I was just here to keep my friend company." π
Just then, his phone rang.
Kayden: "Excuse me, please." π He spoke so politely, like a real gentleman.
"It's okay, take it." π
While he was talking, I noticed just how good-looking he was. Tall, well-dressed, with a kind face.
Kayden: "What do you want now? β¦Oh, that? I forgot. Send someone outside. I'm in the parking lot." π
He hung up and turned back to me.
Kayden: "I'm sorryβ" π
Before he could finish, the elevator doors opened. We stepped outside, and a man immediately approached Kayden.
Kayden: "Here, take this and give it to Coel, okay? Tell him I want it back as soon as the shoot is over." π€¨
He pulled something out of his pocket and handed it to the man.
I froze.
My heart pounded.
Noβ¦ it can't beβ¦ π±
It was the same knife I had seen in that thief's hand. I was sure of it.
Kayden turned to me with a smile.
Kayden: "Let's go." π
I hesitated. Should I ask him?
I took a deep breath.
*"What was that??" π¨
Kayden blinked, looking confused at first. Then, realization crossed his face. He chuckled slightly.
Kayden: "Oh, that? It's actually part of my unique collection from my jewelry shop. The director wanted it for a movie scene, so I lent it to them. It's just a prop." π
I let out a relieved sigh.
"Oh, I see." π
We walked into the parking lot, where I spotted Emma on her phone, probably texting someone.
"Hey, Emma!" π
She looked up and smiled at meβuntil she noticed Kayden.
Her smile vanished, turning into pure shock.
Emma: "Mr. Scott?! What are you doing with my friend??" π¨
Kayden: "Oh, I was just coming here tooβ¦ Okay, ladies, I'll leave now. I have to go. Bye, Y/N." π
He waved before getting into his car and driving off.
Emma immediately turned to me.
Emma: "Let's go, Y/N!" π
We got into her car, and she started driving.
Emma: "What were you doing with him??" π€
I sighed.
"He thought I was lost, so he just asked where I was going. And he happened to be coming this way too." π
Emma's eyes widened.
Emma: "Ohhh. He's such a nice guy. Do you know he's a billionaire? He owns this entire mall!" π²
I nearly choked.
"Wait, WHAT?!" π±
Emma laughed.
Emma: "Y/N, he's everywhere! On TV, on social media!" π
I rolled my eyes.
"Emma, I don't have time to watch TV, and I barely use my phone." π€
Emma gave me a look.
Emma: "You know what? Just move into my place already." π
I shook my head.
"Don't worry, Emma. I can manage here." π
She groaned.
Emma: "Manage?! Y/N, your house looks like a horror movie set!" π
I sighed, smiling softly at her.
"Emma, I know you care about me. But if I ever need help, you'll be the first person I come to." π
Emma smiled back.
Emma: "Okay, fine." π
After a while, she dropped me off at my place and left.
That night, I made dinner, took a shower, and ate in my room. I was exhausted.
But as I lay in bed, staring at the ceilingβ¦
I couldn't stop thinking about that knife. π
---
Meanwhile, in Heaven π
A small baby sat on a fluffy white cloud, watching everything unfold below.
Baby: "Mr. God! The knife is the same!! Don't you think??" π¨
God: "I knowβ¦ but that guy, Kayden, seems like a nice person." π
The baby frowned, then hesitated before asking,
Baby: "Ummβ¦ Mr. God, can I ask you something?" π
God chuckled.
God: "Of course, my child. What is it?" π
The baby pouted.
Baby: "I want a friend." π
God sighed.
God: "Ahhβ¦ okay, I'll do something for you." π
He clapped his hands, and a glowing cloud floated forward, turning into a heart shape before gently landing beside the baby.
Suddenly, the cloud yawned.
???: "Ummβ¦ what's going on?" π₯±
God smiled.
God: "This is Cici. He will be your friend." π
The baby stared.
Baby: "β¦A cloud?!" π
Cici's eyes snapped open.
Cici: "I AM NOT A CLOUD!!" π‘
: "Cici, behave. Meet... umm... Baby." π
(Cici bursts into laughter.)
Cici: "Hahahaha! Baby?! Hahaha! Doesn't she have a real name orβ" π€£
God: "Enough, Cici! I will punish you!" π€¨ (God warns Cici.)
Cici: "No, no! God, please don't punish me!" π° (Cici gets scared.)
Baby: "I don't want a friend like him!" π€ (She pouts.)
God: "Baby, he's just a little naughtyβ¦ like you." π
Cici: "I won't laugh again! Please give me a chance!" π₯ (Cici pleads.)
Baby: "Ummmβ¦ okay. Last chance!" π (Baby warns Cici.)
