Feng Yongrui naturally did not reply Xu Chao. He simply made the letter fly closer to Xu Chao's face.
"Hurry up and read it!" Feng Yongrui whispered inside his heart.
Xu Chao's face was still filled with irritation, and he roughly grabbed the paper in front of him and opened it to see its contents.
The more he read, the darker his face became. When he finished reading the letter, Xu Chao clenched the paper tightly, almost crushing it to pieces.
"Who sent this?" Xu Chao hissed.
He continued to speak to his surroundings. "Whoever sent this to me, show yourself!"
Of course, Feng Yongrui did not reply. He simply watched Xu Chao, hoping that Xu Chao would believe the letter...
When he did not get a reply, Xu Chao frowned and opened the letter. He read the contents two more times and looked at his surroundings. He couldn't see or sense anyone at all! Just who sent him this letter??
Xu Chao's brows were furrowed as deep as they could. He used his magical prowess to probe his surroundings, but he still could not sense anyone's magic or presence.
He squinted his eyes. If the contents of the letter was true...
Xu Chao folded the letter and used his magic to store away the letter.
He waved his hand and a magical barrier appeared around him. Feng Yongrui, who was standing beside him, was shocked.
Did Xu Chao notice his presence and decide to trap him in here?? No... That couldn't be it.
Feng Yongrui turned to look at Xu Chao. The latter had taken out a whistle made of bone and blew on it twice.
Feng Yongrui didn't hear anything, but within a few seconds, he saw a black shadow appear next to Xu Chao.
The black whirl of mist grew in size until a figure appeared.
Feng Yongrui wasn't sure what this person was. No, was it even a person?
The figure was clad in black, and his face was hidden by a hood. Feng Yongrui couldn't even make out the person's hands and feet!
The figure bowed and waited for Xu Chao to give his command. Feng Yongrui also leaned closer to Xu Chao, waiting for the latter to speak.
However, instead of speaking, Xu Chao began to make hand movements that Feng Yongrui did not understand.
Feng Yongrui, who wanted to eavesdrop on the conversation: "..."
Those movements made him think of sign language... This was probably some kind of secret code...
Feng Yongrui felt rather frustrated. How was he supposed to know what Xu Chao meant?
After several seconds of hand signing, Xu Chao finally stopped and waved his hand, motioning for the man in black to leave.
The man bowed again and disappeared in a wish of smoke.
Xu Chao waves his hand and the magical barrier he had set up disappeared. At that moment He Yi also returned, carrying a glass of water.
He gave the water to Xu Chao, who drank very quickly. Feng Yongrui saw that the door was open... It was an opportune moment to leave.
Was it better to leave now or wait a bit and see what Xu Chao would do to He Yi?
But... Based on his understanding of Xu Chao, he probably wouldn't do anything to He Yi.
At least, not yet.
When Xu Chao called that man in black, he was probably telling that person to investigate He Yi...
Feng Yongrui decided to just leave. Even if Xu Chao decided to interrogate He Yi right now, Feng Yongrui didn't really want to see what bloody methods Xu Chao would use.
With that thought in mind, Feng Yongrui took one last look at Xu Chao and left the room. He hurriedly returned to the stables and took off his Invisibility Spell.
Feng Yongrui heaved a sigh of relief. As long as Xu Chao became suspicious of He Yi and investigated the latter... He would definitely find out that He Yi was Lilith's spy!
Hopefully, everything would go well...

Meanwhile, in the Cloud Realm, two figures were twirling as swords clashed and blades flashed under the bright lights.
The two figures were the third prince and fifth princess, having a duel. The fifth princess's face was filled with anger, her eyes blazing like a flame.
As for the third prince, he had a cold sneer in his face, displaying his innate arrogance. However, deep down inside his heart, the third prince was actually panicking.
Where was the Family Head of the Vampire Clan, Lilith? Didn't she say she would come and help him?
She even mentioned she had some sort of trick up her sleeves... One that would surely take down the fifth princess!
The third prince narrowly dodged a blow and looked at the fifth princess's face from the corner of his eyes.
Her face was filled undeniable fury.
The third prince frowned and blocked another blow.
"Tsk, I'd better try to stall for time," the third prince muttered between his teeth.
"Stall? Stall for time?!" the fifth princess sneered.
"That depends on whether you have the ability!" she hissed.
With that, the fifth princess slashed her sword at the third prince even more fiercely than before, forcing the third prince backwards.

In the depths of the Phantom Realm, inside the Vampire Clan's main mansion, a beautiful lady was kneeling on the ground, sweating profusely.
This lady was none other than Lilith, the Head of the Vampire Clan. Her hair was tied back neatly, revealing her swan-like neck. Her lips were a dark, crimson red color, a sharp contrast against the white fangs that protruded slightly from her lips.
However in contrast to her angelic, otherworldly appearance, the words that she spit out were filled with malice and deceit.
She looked up at the man in front of her and blinked innocently.
"Your Majesty~ I have no idea what you're talking about~" Lilith spoke.
The man in front of her was sitting leisurely, one leg crossed over the other as he rested his chin in his hand.
The young man was strikingly handsome, with deep, dark eyes and a pair of dragon horns on his head.
On his left side stood Xiao Niao, his loyal servant. The young man looked at Lilith with cold eyes and cocked an eyebrow.
"You have no idea what I'm talking about?" he asked.
The man smirked. Lilith looked up, wanting to say something, but before she could open her mouth, she felt a black wisp of demonic energy slither around her, wrap around her neck, and squeeze her tightly.
Not only was the demonic energy blocking her airways, Lilith also felt a heavy, murderous aura settle around her. It was a heavy, suffocating feeling that made her instinctively struggle.
Lilith was unable to stay still. She clawed at the air, desperately trying to escape from the deadly aura around her.
But who was she? And who was the person before her?
He was none other than the Crown Prince of the Phantom Realm, the heir apparent, Chen Longfei!
Instead of managing to escape, Lilith felt the demonic wisp of energy tighten around her neck, making her unable to breath even more. Feeling lightheaded, Lilith glared at the person in front of her.
How hateful!
Seeing her rebellious appearance, Chen Longfei have a low chuckle. He let go of her neck and watched apathetically as she collapsed in the ground, gasping and wheezing.
"As expected of someone from the Vampire Clan..." he clicked his tongue.
"Even in the face of death, nothing can faze you, Lilith," he smiled.
Although a smile graced his lips, Chen Longfei's eyes were filled with ice.
"Lilith, do you have to make this had for both of us? You wouldn't want me to take drastic measures, right?" he cocked an eyebrow.
Lilith pursed her lips. A look of unwillingness stayed on her face, but she sullenly opened her lips and told Chen Longfei about her plans.
Of course she did not tell him the the entire truth -- for example, she didn't tell him that He Yi was her spy.
She simply told him that she planned to frame the Shadow Clan by hurting the third prince and fifth princess.
Chen Longfei listened without blinking an eye. He knew that she wasn't telling him the complete truth, but he didn't care.
He didn't mind if the demons and the various clans fought for power in the Phantom Realm. After all, not all of the clans were on his side, so some power struggle was good.
If he was in the mood, he would secretly help one clan win over the other, making sure that particular clan swore loyalty to him...
Also, the power struggles made sure that the various clans were always competing against each other. Competition, well, a healthy one, of course, would be able to stir growth.
However, while he was willing to turn a blind eye to their fighting, that didn't mean he would tolerate their actions that would bring harm to the Phantom Realm.
A little bit of infighting was okay, but he didn't want it to affect the unity of the Phantom Realm. Lilith's actions this time had gone too far.
