When Cairo woke up, he was aboard a large ship. He had fallen on the floor and had completely fainted for nearly three hours. Kevin and Chloe were already awake, but the expression on Chloe, and Kevin's face said something was wrong. His shirt was sticking to his chest with sweat.
"What happened?" asked Cairo.
"Look around" said Chloe.
Cairo did so, and nearly choked. The whole world seemed unreal. There were three suns in the sky along with a moon. There was not a single cloud in sight. For the first time in his life, Cairo knew how it felt to witness sunrise, sunset, and midday sun at the same time. It was extremely hot. Then he looked at the waters and nearly choked again. It was red like blood. He looked at a passenger, and nearly retched this time. The person looked human, except for the fact that his skin was all scaly and looked like metal. Everything in the world had was a shade of red. Cairo looked at Chloe in a questioning way.
"I had not meant to get here" said Chloe, to Cairo's questioning look. "I think Kil found it funny to give us an inter-dimensional trip."
"I am going to kill that Kil" said Kevin through gritted teeth. Cairo noticed that the heat was effecting him much less that it was effecting Kevin and Chloe. They were both red in the face, and were puffing and sweating like horses.
"Great" said Cairo. "How come the passengers don't notice that we don't look like them?"
"I have done a bit of magic to disguise us" replied Chloe. "Moreover, this place is not so bad, it might help you find out your true capabilities in magic."
"Talk for yourself, I am melting!" complained Kevin.
"I hope you might be able to help us get out of this dimension" said Cairo.
"That's the problem! I have never been to this dimension before, and I truly have no idea how to get out of here."
"Can't you just use magic to open a portal to our Earth?" asked Kevin hopefully.
"I can't!" snapped Chloe. "It is such advance magic, that we have never been taught the spell yet."
Cairo sighed "So what do we do now?"
"I have a plan, ever heard of Sri Lanka?"
