Vaniville Town, Kalos Reigon.
Mr. Alien God, could've at least given me some sort of a starter bag, talk about irresponsible, although I did walk into a alleyway full of crackheads didn't I?, anyways it is what it is, time to get my bearings straight. Wait a minute....in these situations you normally start of as the child of some ordinary family and then work your way up the social ladder right?, so someone please explain why I'm a hobo under a bridge wearing rags that smell worse than my dads cooking!
"This is unjust alien man! You hear me! This is UN-FUCKING-JUST!"
"Mommy, why's that man screaming at the air?"
"Sweetie, that's why you don't drop out of Pokémon School, otherwise you'll end up like him, understand?"
"Yes, Mommy!"
Ok, maybe it would be better to keep a low profile for now, I'd rather not be dragged into an insane asylum on my first day. Alright let's see, I have no family, no money and no pokémon, I guess it's just up to me and my knowledge of Pokémon to get through this huh?
Suddenly, a red and white circular object caught Arthurs' attention. Oh sweet, a pokeball now we're talking, judging from the game I should be in Vaniville town, the nearest place to catch Pokémon should be route 2 if I remember correctly.
As Arthur was searching the nearby grass, suddenly a rustling sound accompanied by a small window box appeared next to him.
[ Fletchling ]
[ Level 2 ]
"Fletch!-fletchling!"
Alrighty, now we're getting somewhere!
After throwing his one and only pokeball, or in this case his one and only shot of getting a pokémon at the fletchling, Arthur waited anxiously for the results.
[ Fletchling ] [ Normal/Flying ]
[ Level 2 ]
[ Gender : Female ]
[ Abilities : Big Pecks ]
[ Moves : Growl, Tackle ]
[ Nature : Calm ]
In the games, I would just proceed into Santalune Forest from here, but there's probably a lot of trainers there, not to mention my Pokémon is underleved and not a starter either. Although, I have a rather limited moveset, I better think of how I am going to strategize my battles, obviously unlike the games you don't simply use a move then wait for the opponent, I'd assume its more similar to the Anime.
[ Scatterbug ]
[ Level 2 ]
Alright, you'll be my first pokémon battle experience, it might be just a Scatterbug but for now I better use a safer strategy, "Fletchling use growl then retreat 10 meters"
For now, I'll focus on mitigating it's attack, that way I'll be able to battle with more room for error, "Fletchling, use growl again then move behind Scatterbug"
"Fletch!"
Scatterbug shot a web of silk aimed at the face of Fletchling. Fuck, now Fletchlings field of view is limited, wait a minute...shouldn't those growls have reduced the potency of Scatterbugs silk? If my hypothesis is correct, then this should work.
"Fletchling, use your talons to break out of the silk", the silk was ripped apart seamlessly, almost like a knife through butter, alright Fletchling now use tackle!
However, unlike the games where wild pokémon simply 'faint', Fletchlings talons' pierced through the fragile shell of Scatterbugs' head causing it's blood to splatter like paint in the surroundings. Arthur simply watched the scene, dumbstruck by what he had just witnessed.
Shit, I was naïve thinking that it would be just like the games, this is all real damnit! Arthur thought, whilst holding back vomit. No matter, if I don't get used to it I'm never going to get anywhere in this world, now that I think of it I bet pokémon eat each other in the wild on a daily basis, after all how would they sustain themselves, wake up to reality Arthur this is how life is.
6 hours later, a 16-year old with a ragged appearance could be seen on Route 2 collecting the corpses of Scatterbugs and Bunnelbys with a Fletchling at his side, this was of course Arthur.

[ Moves : Growl, Tackle, Quick Attack ]
[ Nature : Calm ]
Hm, for some reason I feel like Fletching should be leveling up faster?, I wonder if pokémon have some sort of individual talent, that indicates how fast they level up? Oh well, I'm sure I'll get more information as I progress. On the bright side Fletchling now can use quick attack, that should've give me an upper hand on the upcoming battles.
I guess it's time for me to enter Santalune Forest now, hm?
Arthur noticed that although Fletchling hadn't been hit at all during his leveling session, she was looking rather tired, Arthur picked up one of the Oran Berries he found on the route and fed it to his Fletchling, receiving a happy "Fletch!" in response. Gotta remember to feed my pokemon, even if they don't get hit directly I'm sure battling takes a lot of gas outta them.
The minute Arthur entered Santalune Forest, a blonde girl wearing a pink hat with a black ribbon around it locked eyes with Arthur and pointed, "Hey you!"
This girl was of course, Serena.
