Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 - More Secret Revealed.

Detective Jones looks amazed as he sees the name of the client on the case file he collected from Jane. The name reads James Johnson; and "that was Amanda Johnson's husband;" Jones thinks within himself.

Are you familiar with the name? Jane asks.

Yes, I am.

"Was he really the client you observed that she was most fond of?" Jones asks to be surer.

Yes, he was. I am sure about that.

"Okay… So, are you saying that Mr. James was having an affair with Miss Katherine White?" Jones asks.

"I don't know that for sure detective but I think so." Jane responds.

"The reason why I asked this is because; the new owner of the house Miss Katherine stayed before she died is Mr. Johnson's wife, Amanda Johnson." Jones uncovers the truth as opposed to Jane's thought about Katherine's relocation.

"Wait a minute, what do you mean – died, who died?" Jane asks confused.

Miss Katherine White is dead and that has been for the past three years now ma'am. We found her body buried at the back of her house few days ago.

"Miss Katherine White is dead? How did that happen?" The last message I received from her was to inform me that she was moving away to start a fresh life with a new identity and that I should not bother to look for her; that she is fine and well.

"Did you go to her place to confirm if she moved truly?" Jones asks.

"Yes, I did but by the time I got there, the door was shut and there was no sign of anyone inside the house, so I assumed she moved as she said. In fact, I called her phone number over and over again; I could not reach her, so I assumed she changed her line as well. But hearing this now that she did not move to anywhere but has been dead for over three years, it's not easy to take it all in." Jane responds and pauses to calm herself.

"Miss. Katherine could be secretive indeed but she was truly kind and generous. She was easy going and friendly. She did not deserve to die just like that. She has helped a lot of people to gain their lives back and there are many people she was still helping as at that time which bothered me when I saw the shocking message from her. I could not wrap my head around a reason for her abrupt relocation even though I was aware of her being stalked. I could not justify her decision because she never could have done that without telling me. I only assumed and just believed she had to go for her safety and I respected her decision." Jane further expresses her feelings, pacing around with a bewildered look on her face.

"What do you mean by – she never could have done that without telling you? I could remember you said she was secretive, so she could have decided not to tell you earlier about her intention to relocate if that was actually the case or what do you think? Jones asks.

"Yes, truly, she was secretive but there were times back that she had to travel out of the country to attend to her clients and other times that she traveled places for vacation, visitations and more. Also, when she moved from her previous place to this place, I was always the one doing the planning, working out the connections, preparing the paper, booking the flights and many more things to ease her movements. That was how I even met Robin, the guy that helped me out to secure and arrange my current place of work." Jane pauses trying to wipe the teardrop that escapes her cautioned eyes.

"However, she once told me she could never do anything like traveling, relocating, going on vacation and all without my help. She appreciated my work and was grateful for it. That's why I thought it could not have been easy for her without telling me earlier. I was shocked and I did not believe it when I saw the message but I could not do anything about it since I did not see a trace of her for a while after then, so I had to assume it was real."

"Hmm… That's alright and I understand it could be a bit hard for you to just be discovering this truth after believing otherwise for a long time. I'm sorry for your loss." Jones consoles her.

But who could have done that to her?" Jane enquires.

"We don't know for now but we are working on it and when we find out who it was, I will ensure we serve justice to the son of a bitch who murdered her, I promise you that." Jones says affirmatively.

"Detective, I'm counting on you to look for the killer." Jane entrusts the case to him while he nods in agreement.

"Don't you think the person who killed her could be the stalker?" Jones asks.

"It could be, because it was after she moved into the new house, she started getting these weird love letters saying that she was the only one for him and he could never share her with anyone." Jane replies.

"Wait, the stalker said all that in the letter?" Jones asks.

Yeah, the one before the last one she received; "That he wasn't ready to share her with anyone" and it was after that time she told me to call the cops and relay her plight to them. Jane further reacts.

"So, it's a surety that the murderer could be the stalker who wasn't willing to have anyone around her…Hmm" Jones shares his thought.

"Thank you Miss. Jane for your help." Jones says with a smile

"I'm glad I could be of help detective. Jane replies with a smile too.

"Please detective, get the murderer who killed her." Jane urges

"We will do our best ma'am says Jones as he gets up to leave." Do have a nice day ma'am as he leaves.

"Thank you detective." Jane says as she closed her door
