"I'm completely trapped...Huh...Now this is interesting..."
Thought Fedyenka while grinning in her mind. At the moment, she didn't leave the place. Instead she just changed her spot of hiding to a hole in a building. She saw a big rat in it. The rat got mad and started going after her. The Sabia saw that the bushes moved so she called out like she did when she sensed Bella's presence. Fedyenka has already left the bush and the thing that lied there was the rat. She slapped on the bushes with her hands and then found a rat running. She was confused.
"Why do you look so bemused, Sabia Third? Were you expecting something else?"
"No...I knew that there would be a rat. It was just bothering me."
Sabio Tenth is only a Tenth when it comes to ranks but in reality he is as convenient as Sabio Second. He is just a lazy person.
"Sabia Third was heading off to Sabio First's palace. Not having an idea that Fedyenka was following her instead of staying with Sabio Tenth and investigating on the map. They had no idea about her language skills which put them to a disadvantage. Sabio Second really thought that, she will be curious about the map and investigate it with Sabio Tenth.
Sabia Third went in the palace swiftly while Fedyenka was suffering a little because not every trees are big and shady. She still somehow managed not to get sunburnt. She couldn't get in the palace building from the windows. It seemed like, it has a barrier. She saw a noble lady who was on her way to the palace. Before getting in her bag, she threw some dirt on the lady.
"Bloody-...What the hell?!? Oh...I have to wash my dress. Excuse me, take me to the washroom please." said the lady.
Fedyenka got in the bag. The man who came with her said,
"Darling, don't you think that something has gotten in your bag?"
"Ughh...Now I have to clean my bag too...Owh...I will report it! Which bloody servant threw dirt at me?!?"
Saying that, she took the bag and went inside with the maid she called. Along with her, Fedyenka got in as well. The palace was the most beautiful one she has ever seen. The walls had glittering gems on them, reflecting the sunlight in different colors. It was beautiful. The lady went to the washroom leaving her bag to the maid. She put the bag on the ground a little to stretch her arms. Fedyenka got out of it while the maid was busy.
She kept herself in her bat form and started observing the maids. She knew that low ranking maids has a habit of gossiping so she eavesdropped on some maids.
"Hey, did you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
"Mary's Boyfriend cheated on her."
"You are talking about THAT thing? Listen, I've got a much better news."
"Ohh! What is it?"
"I think that Sabio Second is in love. He's been talking to a girl's photo for a long time."
"Aw...I'm so jealous on that girl. Where did you hear this news from though?"
"Sabio Second's maid was saying something on her own. Er...something like, 'Master has been busy with a woman lately'...or something like-"
"Of course she didn't say anything like that. Her words were much more formal I bet. So, who is that woman."
Suddenly a stern faced woman in a maid dress came and told them to get back to their work. After they left, the woman was staring here and there as if she can sense someone's presence. She even had a knife with her. Fedyenka couldn't hear a single sound that comes from the kitchen, yet she is holding a knife. At the moment Fedyenka realized that she is no ordinary woman. The woman started going on her way again.
She went to the kitchen and took some sort of liquid out of a bottle and put it on one side of the knife she had. Then she replaced the knife on a plate of roasted chicken with her knife. Along with many dishes, a maid took the roasted chicken to on a trolley. Fedyenka followed the maid who was carrying the dishes with a trolley to the room she was heading to.
"Your Majesty, your lunch is here. Would you please open the door?" said the maid while knocking on the door.
A distinguish man opened the door. The man hasn't cut his beard in a while. His hair wasn't even combed well. Seeing that, Fedyenka's heart ached. Because the man was no other but her father. Fedyenka struck to the nape of the maid and the maid screamed. She looked back but she couldn't find anything. At that moment, Fedyenka entered her father's room. Her father asked the maid,
"Is everything okay?"
"Yes, Your Highness. Maybe it was a bug...Aack!"
She saw a cockroach and she screamed again. The same head maid came to her and told her to stop. She stopped screaming, nodded her head and said,
"Yes, Diana."
"Do you not have any manners on how to act in front of a King? Scram!"
The maid slowly walked away.
"I'm really sorry, Your Highness. She is new here. If there is anything you need right now please tell me."
The maid was acting as if she knows nothing about the knife she has prepared for The King.
"Yes, I do need something. Please keep this palace out of such things like cockroaches. They are disgusting."
"Yes, Your Highness." said the head maid and then she left the place.
Her actions seemed really questionable to Fedyenka.
"If she wanted to put some poison on the knife, then why replace the knife with other one? Is she an assassin or something who likes to kill people with the same weapon?" thought Fedyenka.
While her father was going to cut the roasted chicken half, she took her human form and came to her father.
"Father!"
"Fedyenka? What are you doing here?"
Saying that King Oleg rushed to his daughter and held her hands tight and said,
"Oh dear...Where were you? How are you doing? I feel like I haven't seen you in ages."
"Father...everything is happening so fast. I don't even know how to explain all this."
"Tell me everything in short. Hurry up. The Sage will be here any moment."
"Father, who?"
"Sabio Second. I feel like he's plotting something."
"He is plotting something. I need some time to tell you about all these. But for now, just know that, Sabio First is in danger. Sabia Third is in an abusive love with Sabio Second. Sabia Fourth is also very likely in danger and so is my brother right now. Sabio Tenth is helping us. Most importantly, the knife has poison on it. Bye Father!"
"Wh-What? Where are you going? The sun is burning hot!"
Fedyenka couldn't answer her father's question. She had to leave because she could hear Sabia Third's and Sabio Second's footsteps. They soon entered the room and greeted King Oleg.
Whilst Fedyenka was on the way to Felix, Fedyenka's father was handling the situation in his room.
"Your Highness. haven't you eaten your lunch yet?" said Sabio Second.
"No, Sabio Second. Thank you for asking."
"I'm sorry about how I acted that day in the meeting."
"It is fine. I can sympathize." said King Oleg while slowly taking the knife with his gloved hands and putting it in his pocket.
King Oleg acted as if he was going to eat but then he noticed that there is no knife.
"Sabio Second." said King Oleg.
"Yes, Your Highness?"
"There is no knife to eat with."
"Huh? How could it be...How could the maids be such ignorant fools!"
"You are stressing yourself out too much, Sabio Second."
"I'm not stressing myself out!"
"Yes you are. You have even forgotten, how to address people and how to talk to a person like me, properly."
"Ahem...forget my rudeness. We will send another knife to this room very soon."
"No need for that. I'm starving. I will eat my fill with this fork." said King Oleg with his face angered.
"Alright, Your Highness." said Sabio Second whilst closing the door. Sabia Third stayed shut like a puppet the whole time.
When Fedyenka threw some dirt on the lady, some of it got in her tea. She came back from the washroom after washing her cloths and wearing the change. She took a big sip and spitted it on the man who came with her, her boyfriend's face. Saying that she will never date him because he will bring her bad luck, she went to the washroom again. This time, Fedyenka held her puffy gown tight and went outside whilst, the woman's bag which was put to the ground by the maid was forgotten once again.
When the woman got close to the biggest tree in that garden, Fedyenka let go of the dress and flew up to the tree. She got sunburnt when she was going to fly. Yet she had to go. She went to her brother's room's window and called out,
"Felix! Where are you?"
No one answered. She thought that maybe they already took her brother. She still didn't lose heart. She searched all over the room and found a letter under the pillow. She read it and found out that his brother left some things and wrote that he is outside of El Palacio de Mortales and that he will say head off to their kingdom to get help. The moment she read it, she became hopeless and sat on the bed thinking, "What have I done..."
