Chapter 30 - Final Floor: Dungeon [4]

'Shit, why is she chasing me relentlessly!'

I ran like hell, although the Emril in her dragon form was as slow as a turtle her huge build made up for it and things were only getting tougher because some lunatic had summoned a petty but disgusting boar in my path.

"Hey, you! Run away!"

I didn't want to gain unwanted casualties so I gestured for them to run, however, "You shit! How dare you tell me to run! I will send you to hell."

The voice I heard was rather hostile and the next moment the boar picked up its pace towards my direction, 'What the heck, are youngsters these days very hot-headed!'

"Kuhuuuu...!"

The sign indicating the dragon was preparing for another wind blast was as blatant as day.

'This is bad, I don't know if I will be able to withstand that flashy move of hers for the second time!'

The fortune still seemed to be on my side, the boar was rushing like anything however its agility was still lacking compared to the Horsey, 'This the chance!'

"Haste!"

Activating my boost skill, I precisely dodged the opponent's bash at the moment it was going to hit me then spun my head backside to catch a view of what was going to happen, 'Nice! it won't be able to stop in its tracks at that speed!'

After confirming the outcome I didn't wish to spare efforts to continue speculating and ran forward to fulfill my spell's worth, "You guys, if you don't run now you will die!"

"Who's going to die!? We will see that! Capture him, Aches!"

I brushed past the wolf and the man while hearing his rude tone and the next moment a wave of wind hit me from the back, "Kerugh...!"

Both the pair of weirdos instantly disappeared after turning into dust, I gasped for breath and my legs didn't stop, 'Shall I just face it head on!'

For a moment I mustered up my courage however the next instant I remembered, even Laqurez was badly defeated when I choose the option to fight against Emeril during the gameplay.

'Even if I use all my spells in the arsenal, it would be impossible to even leave a scratch on her! However, why the heck it's chasing me all the way, I didn't even disturb it in any way?'

I looked back while resting for a moment while gasping my breath, there was no one at the end yet it will soon be occupied by that green behemoth of which I was fully aware.

'Wait! Could it be because of mana!!!'

I forget such an important thing, even in the game as a pitful side character Emeril was overly attached to Lacqurez and it was precisely because of the heck amount of mana that he had.

'The same could be said to me, is this the reason why it's chasing me? But, why she is so offensive time, is this a negative buff for a villain!'

Perhaps it's instinctively reacting toward my big pool of fuel for combat, recognizing the fact I glanced around the pathway and found a huge boulder to hide, 'Let's do this!'

As I had foreseen the figure soon appeared then my respiration stopped functioning at once, to be more precise I was withholding the air giving it no room to escape from my chest.

The green dragon gave a puzzled look in the distance and then began to move again, 'I feel like my chest will explode if I won't breathe any longer!'

Even so, I prevented myself from breathing until I could no longer hear the 'Thump--' sound, "Puhaaa~! cough! cough."

"Haa...Ha..."

Fortunately, the green dragon didn't return back, a little relieved I thought of Coco, 'If he hadn't tagged along with me, maybe he could have survived more time than before.'

My eyes watched the large footprint left behind on the ground and I envied Emeril for having such a powerful skill, 'The boss would be no match for her!' I thought but I also knew that her intelligence is now as that of a child and she won't even think of a planned attack on her current state.

"Guess, I should get the boss now."

The boss of this dungeon was a griffin, a body similar to the lion, and the upper half was the head of an eagle with its comfortable wings.

The biggest reason as of why it's gaining the advantage of being the boss is, it knows how to use magic, and its level is also similar to that of a 3rd-year student.

"I had a bit of a hard time in the game."

Even with all these extraordinary buffs I know it would be no easy feat to deal with the boss alone. Just as I was preparing to run back to reach the boss room soon...[Beep! BEEP!!]

[Sub Event!

* Achievement Conditions: Collect griffin's eggs from the griffin's nest.

* Time limit: Until the end of the dungeon

* Failure condition: Temporarily unable to use any spells.

* Reward: Magic spellbook you need (???)]

As soon as I saw the system window, my thought was, 'You're here!' After all, there was a 'magic spellbook' that I had been waiting for in the reward details.

Although I could learn more spells just by practicing them after receiving the respective book from the library there was a restriction to the level of the spell I could choose, not to mention the tiring process of learning I have to go through after that.

"If I get this done, I will treat myself to a huge feast!"

Just by hearing my words, the Ares stomach within me smiled ear to ear as I rushed towards the boss room anticipating an exhaustive battle.
