In my inner world, a stark, white void, I let out a heavy sigh. My gaze wandered aimlessly across the endless expanse. "What happened to this place?" I mused aloud, my voice echoing in the emptiness.
"You got captured," a voice replied, nonchalant yet eerily familiar.
I spun around, searching for the source. "Up," the voice directed.
Looking upwards, I was met with a sight that was as bizarre as it was unsettling. My doppelganger, an exact replica of myself, dangled from a massive, eye-like orb, chains ensnaring him in a gravity-defying spectacle.
"Captured by who?" I asked, an eyebrow raised in both curiosity and annoyance.
The doppelganger shrugged, a gesture that seemed both comical and sad given his predicament. "I don't know, but we might be in trouble."
"We?" I scoffed. "When am I not in trouble?"
"Good point," the doppelganger conceded with a smirk.
"But one thing," I continued, "why can't I feel any Qi?"
