Rosalie glanced at the hall where Aunt Angie was chatting with someone. She called her name, 'Aunt Angie. . .. Who is that with you?'. It was Catherine and she was quite embarrassed. She held herself responsible for Oliver's action. She walked inside with Aunt Angie, and she apologized to Rosalie, 'Rosalie, it was my fault! I shouldn't have let Oliver join us that day!' Rosalie told her, 'It was not your fault, but it was mine! I shouldn't out stunt like that in public! I shouldn't have guised as Richard and become a heartbreaker!'. She turned red with unease and said, 'At least, I would agree on that you were pretty charming as a man!' They all laughed at that and spend a good deal of pleasant time there.
Nora and Eliot left, and Catherine and Aunt Angie were still there providing a good company to Rosalie. As Aunt Angie went out Catherine took out a document from her large purse and handed it over to Rosalie. She looked at it careful and asked, 'What is this for?'. Catherine told her, 'Here, take this letter too! It will help you understand!' Catherine hinted her not to open it till she leaves the premises. She agreed to that, and Aunt Angie came back, and Catherine bid her good-bye and left. Angie brought water for her. She glanced at the document placed on the bedside table. She inquired, 'What is that?' to which Rosalie replied, 'I do not know about it as well! Let me. …'. Angie told her to take her time and she brought her food. She placed the letter she opened aside and had her supper.
She almost forgot about the letter. Late at night, she suddenly was wide awake. 'Why is that happening? I will remain awake till morning! And I will be exhausted enough in the morning!' she protested in a slight whisper. She turned on the lamp on her bedside and glanced at Aunt Angie that she was not disturbed because of the lamplight. She was sleeping peacefully. Johnathan's letter caught her attention, and she picked it from the table and started opening the letter. She supported her back in a rested posture and read from the letter.
''Hello, Rosalie or Richard may be!
I don't know what name to call you by. Firstly, I would like to say, I hope that you are well and hearty by now. Eliot informed me about your health, and I hope you discharge real soon as Catherine's wedding is a fortnight away. She requested me to asked for your assistance in the arrangements. Of course! After you will be well enough! Do join us, Rosalie his time so that we can make up for the lost time we couldn't be good friends. I really noticed and thought about what you did last month. It was quite a daring move to guise as a man and conceal your identity in that manner. I was quite amused, irritated and impressed at the same time. I have never experienced such a good company in a long time. I really miss Richard as he was quite the kind of friend I imagined to ever have in my life. But I cannot force you to be him as in appearance. It was actually you who possessed the traits I looked for in a friend. You were confident, curious, steadfast, temperamental, and daring fellow.
Other than that, I would like to present you something. I do know that you would not accept it. But Catherine handed you a document along with this letter. Do have a good look and sign the documents. I would not hear a thing from you. It is a parting gift from a friend we could actually never be. And to the friendship we will continue to develop if I am not being too bold. I will look forward to the opening ceremony.
With finest aspirations and hopes to an ever-expanding future,
Your Dearest Friend,
Johnathan Scott.''
She sat still and grabbed the document from the side table. She was amazed to see that Johnathan Scott transferred a property to her name. He was quite impressed by Richard she knew that, but he thought him to be his friend was another revelation she had that night. She was over the moon to only realize that she and John were now friends. But she was a little concerned that how will she handle this property ownership shock that she has received. It was too much of a burden for her. She was happy but heavy hearted as well. She slept on it so that she could have an opinion on the matter from Eliot and Nora. She didn't want to keep it.
Eliot and Rosalie visited Johnathan on her discharge who was not there in his office. He accompanied Catherine to the venue where they would arrange the wedding ceremony. Emanuel was directed about her visit here and he dealt with the matter strictly. He replied on behalf of Johnathan that if Rosalie desires a feud between them then she can certainly return the documents. She felt extremely bad about it because she knew that she was at loss here. Emanuel further added that Johnathan also told me that he was doing it for his ambitious friend Richard which Emanuel couldn't quite make sense of, but Rosalie and Eliot understood. So, she was forced to leave his office in defeat as it was an unreturnable gift.
'So, what should I do! I cannot just accept it!' said Rosalie. Eliot told her, 'If I were you, I would have! You know opportunities like these …all out of nowhere are not easy to attract!' she gestured in agreement, and he continued, 'Just. . .. zip it and inaugurate the dream bakery you desired to! Otherwise, there are a good number of people who are eager to have their hands on this specific place! And you might never get to realize this dream ever! Think about it carefully and wisely!'. She realized what Eliot told her was true she might never get a golden chance like this. So, she did avail the opportunity that made Johnathan and Angie and the rest of the friends really happy.
She continued the Scarlet Cafe it was not in the town square. It was a bit past Keswick town square. The idea of bakery was well-loved by town's people when it was first sampled at the workshop. Business ran smoothly both Angie and Rosalie had quite a lot of work at their hands. Rosalie invited Johnathan as the guest of honor on the opening of scarlet cafe. All were there except Oliver who eyed this property for a long time but was not granted. He desired it even now when it was occupied. George was not quite happy knowing about the property being a gift for Richard is being used by her, but he was not briefed about the whole truth of the matter. Rosalie had the right to keep it and she didn't need his approval; she was an adult. She had a great time baking some of her newest ideas in the bakery alongside the decoration of the interior of the bakery. They kept the exterior plan and simple with a board to identify the place.
Rosalie selected pastel pink, green, and blue for the three walls and white last one and the roof as well. She used different props to decorate the bakery with frames and lamps along with glass shelfs for the display of pastries, cakes and cupcakes. Scarlet cafe was her dream that came true. It was all because of his dear friend Johnathan to who she was ever thankful. She never charged him anything. Once he remarked, 'You will run out of money if you wouldn't charge me! Wait, are you attempting to repay me doing this?' Rosalie said, 'No, that is not it! How can I ever repay you at all!' 'Well by charging me for these delights!' he articulated. She gestured him to be gone as their conversation can always lead to negligence to other costumers in the shop. 'Thank you! See you, Rosalie!' he voices her name a little loud. She waved him good-bye.
