When Ivy heard Camilla's name, she widened her eyes and said, "Camilla! She is a close friend of yours. She was a shy girl at our academy, but when we saw her performance, we were all taken aback."
Adela took a deep breath and glanced up. "Yes, she is," she responded nonchalantly.
Ivy approached Adela and asked, "Hey, can we ask you a question?" Ivy spoke as she and Leah locked eyes.
"Go ahead."
They questioned her as soon as Adela gave them the go-ahead. It was an excellent moment for them because they didn't get to speak with the duke's daughter every day.
Ivy's curiosity got the better of her, and she couldn't help but notice the strain in Adela's and Camilla's friendship. With a slight hesitation in her voice, Ivy turned to Adela and asked, "Adela, we've noticed that things have been a bit different between you and Camilla lately. Is everything okay? And people are saying different things about you guys?"
