"Ah, your highness, that's true." Adam nodded in agreement with the emperor's comments and cast David a sidelong glance. When he saw David's furious expression, he grinned back at him as well. Draven observed Alfred as David and Adam were busy harboring grudges against one another. Draven had seen Alfred's distracted expression from the moment they arrived. Alfred was thinking about something. Draven spoke while he was looking down at the field.
"Where has Veronica gone? Why can't I find her?" Draven asked.
Alfred blinked slowly when he heard the emperor. Although he was expecting it from the emperor, it wasn't until much time had gone by that the emperor really brought up the matter. "Your highness," Alfred began, nodding his head, "She was not feeling well, but don't worry, she said she would join us soon."
Hearing Alfred, Draven softly arched his brows. He didn't even bother Alfred with questions. He also turned to look at the field.
