David's heart ached after hearing Camilla's response. He couldn't even force his daughter now because he was the main reason for that screw-up.
"Camilla, this is my f-," David was going to say something when Camilla interrupted him, saying, "Father, I will make you so proud that when you go out, everyone will start asking you about me."
Camilla stated this with a smile on her face. Camilla's words left him feeling despondent. He understood his daughter would not listen to him, and why would she listen when he was the one who made her like that? David took a deep breath and rose from his seat.
Camilla also sprang to her feet when she saw her father standing up. Her radiant face abruptly became a bit worried. Even though her father spent some time with her tonight, it didn't mean he would listen to anything she had to say.
