Camilla showed her ankle to Adela. Adela narrowed her eyes as she viewed the bite wounds on her ankle. It became blue and seemed to be a snake bite. But Camilla was still standing normally, and Adela didn't understand how.
"Are you not feeling any type of discomfort?" Adela asked in a calm voice.
"No, just a tiny pain, that's all," Camilla responded.
Adela smiled and motioned for her to sit down. She had to get the poison out as quickly as she could. She knew that if Oba bit somebody, there was no chance of survival. Yet Camilla was completely unaffected by the poison; she appeared to be in great health. Adela closed her eyes and placed her palms over Camilla's bite mark.
After a minute, the spot returned to normal, although there were only two bite marks.
"You're OK, Camilla. But how did you get it?"
Camilla expressed her confusion as she regarded the mark and stated, "I'm not sure. When I just woke up, I could not move my leg and felt a searing ache in my ankle."
