"Francis, you may now depart. I assured Uncle he didn't need to be concerned." Adela murmured as she looked at Camilla. But after that, she turned to stare at Max as well, pompously diverting her eyes. She had to clarify everything to Max about Camilla at any cost. She wouldn't allow him to ruin her friend's life. She knew Max was a great guy, but because Camilla liked Francis, Max was not allowed to take advantage of her sickness; this was unfair.
"Take care of yourself and Camilla, okay?" Francis quickly drew nearer to Adela and grabbed her hands.
Adela smiled while nodding. Max cast them a sidelong glance but kept quiet. After some time, Francis left, leaving Max and Adela there by themselves. As Max was engrossed in his research, Adela sat down beside Camilla. Max popped into her mind, and she wondered if he would stay up all night working. Even so, she needed to talk to Max about Camilla.
