Chapter 78 - It was my bad luck

Draven groaned and plopped down on the sofa. He smiled and added, "Father, I don't need much. You understand my expectations of you as well." Adam received a sarcastic smirk from Draven.

Adam understood the sly smirk on Draven's face. He inquired calmly while seated on the couch in front of Draven.

"My Prince, the thing you seek is not so simple."

Draven tilted his head in response to Adam. He knew Adam would not allow such an easy ascent. When Draven tried to accomplish anything calmly, the other person wouldn't allow him to do it; it was his bad luck. Every time there was pandemonium—murdering!—Draven faded away with it.

"Exactly why not, Father? Do I have anyone, or does the kingdom have anyone? I am the lone child that my father left behind. What do you want after that, then?" Draven inquired in a fade-up tone.

Adam let out a long breath and relaxed his shoulders. He gave Draven a logical response to all of his questions.
