Alfred inhaled deeply and was ready to speak when Adela gently grabbed his hand and said, "Then please have faith in me. I will come back safe and sound, and everything will be okay there. I won't make one, and I won't allow anyone else to do it either. Since I am your daughter, kindly let me handle things on my own."
Alfred took some time to look at his daughter. His daughter said with such confidence that she would manage everything, but could she manage it? Alfred's expression was gloomy; he couldn't help himself at that moment. What would he say to his daughter now?
Adela reassured her father, "Father, I promise I'll be safe there."
Alfred nodded, but he still couldn't relax. "Adela, do nothing in haste," he murmured under stress. "Think quietly and take your time before doing anything."
Adela said with a smile, "Of course, Father, I will do so." Alfred tenderly patted his daughter's head to show that he trusted her.
