A bright room, no walls, no floor, no roof only light. It seemed like the sun shun its rays there and enveloped the area, no clouds, no water, no earth nothing but bright light.
Kinea and Kean wake up on different sides in this place, they begin to wander around looking for another person when they hear a voice.
Singing, a woman was singing. Her melody was overwhelming, her voice like that of a 1000 angels, her pitch was almost high enough to shatter glass.
Almost like a switch flipped in them, they had the sudden urge to meet whatever sang that song. The need to see it was so overwhelming, they couldn't control themselves.
Like moth to a flame, the boys ran to where the voice was coming from. Even through what seemed like endless light something told them to go they found her.
A woman around her late twenties, she had thick long black hair that reached her waistline, she was the lightest shade of dark skin, she wore only a black robe which had no patterns nor designs on it, and wore no footwear to think of.
The most noticeable thing about her was her perky bright blue eyes, which was the most distinguishable feature she had. She sang to herself, while reading a book and sitting on an old wooden chair. The book in question was a large book with a red cover, with the title not being visible while the chair seemed old and worn out.
The twins look at each other perplexed as they both arrived at the same time to the same place.
"How the hell did you get her?!", Kinea questions with a very confused look on his face.
"I can ask the same thing! I came here because of a gut feeling", Kean responds with the same confused face.
"Me too! I heard music and I really felt like finding where it's from", Kinea explains.
"So what are we arguing on!?", Kean bellows.
"I don't fucking know!!", Kinea belted out.
The woman on her seat begins to laugh, she digs her face into her book to cover it up. The boys look at her confused and briefly stop their questions.
"Sorry! For laughing", the lady says with a happy grin on her face.
She then closes her book and looks at them up at them, gazing into their eyes as they gazed back hers.
She takes a deep breath and say "Kinea, Kean…you have a lot ahead of you. Many difficulties and hardships, many times you'll want to give up and call it quits".
She continues on saying "Please don't give up…i know you just met me but trust me, I'll explain myself soon enough".
She then raised her hands as to ask for a hug, the boys glance at each other, visibly confused.
"Look ma'am, we're just trying to get to our place", Kinea says softly.
"Yeah and we kinda just met you, soo", Kean explains.
"Don't worry, I'm not a bad person. Just give an old woman a hug", She pleaded keeping a happy grin on her face.
The twins reluctantly give in as she jolts up her chair and hugs them, for a strange reason they feel a weird connection. A connection which runs deeper than just their eye colours, and for the first time since the faithful night they feel relaxed.
After the woman is done hugging them, she cleans off what seems to be a tear about to flow down her cheek. She then chuckles and tells them "One day, we'll meet again…it's a promise".
The twins wake up on their room beds, they're covered in bandages and feel an immense fatigue plague their bodies.
A girl is at the corner of their room, she has short blond hair, bright red eyes and wore a red shirt with black shorts and a doctors coat on top. She was rather small having the height of about four to five feet and she seemed very young.
"You two are finally awake!!", the girl yells out..
"Who are you?", Kinea requested.
"My name is Maria and I've been forced watch over you two for the past three days!!", she bellows out.
Tolo walks in with only his usual pair of black joggers which was sagged showing his grey boxers and a white vest "Maria it's ok, stop yelling".
"Ah!! Tolo your okay!", Kean cheered.
"Of course! That shit stood no chance", he replies.
"But when you came back, you were pretty bea-", Maria explains before being stopped by a knock to her head.
"Aw!! Tolo your too mean!!", she cries out while holding her head.
Tolo then explains "Anyways, this is Maria. She's the chief researcher so she heals a bit, she helps us to find missions to do by scanning around for demons and shit…yeah after that she's pretty useless".
"I am not useless!! Remember I also keep important documents!!!", she yells.
Kinea taps his head as his eyes lit up and he asks"Oh Tolo, i've been meaning to ask about that book you stole from those cultists when you saved us".
Tolo's face turns serious as he says"Oh, you mean Dante's Inferno. This is a book containing knowledge of all the gates of hell, different kinds of demons, guide to witchcraft and the seven princes of hell".
He continues on saying "Weirdly enough, it was written by a human being but most say he was possessed from the start. Anyways it's the last of its kind and due to the rarity, it's kept with this bastard and the King".
"I am not a bastard!!", Maria yells while throwing multiple punches at Tolo but does no damage.
Kean looks closely at her stature and build commenting "She is so small, but smart. Wait a damn minute!! This is like those animes where there is a small person that looks like a girl but is actually thousands of year's old".
"Ah yes that's true, they usually end up having a transformation where they get older and get big boobs!!", Kinea rejoiced.
Tolo chuckles before saying "Guys, she's twelve".
"Eeeeehhhhh!! I thought she was younger!!!", the two yell out in horror.
Maria then brings out two daggers from her science coat and dash to them proclaiming "I'm gonna rip you to shreds!!".
