The commander looks at Hiro with keen curiosity.He interlocks his fingers while looking at Hiro with a stern face.
Commander:"...Monster Hunters.The people that hunt dark and unknown creatures that roam the night of the cities.We are the only ones that can stop them from doing bad things like they always do..."
The boy listened to everything.
Hiro:"Then why are you asking me something like that?"
Asked the boy intrigued as he saw the man's face becoming darker and more fiercer as time goes by.
The boy thinks to himself:
Hiro:'Last time i knew i was just a normal boy that goes to school?Why would he-'
Commander:"Because you will have to die a painful death if you refuse."
Said the old man in a spine chilling tone.
The boy was now sweating profusely while trying to get out of the man's pressure.The boy finnaly could stutter some words out while looking with pure fear at the Commander who now looks like a whole full fledged monster in human body.
Hiro:"W-why would you try k-kill me...?I didn't e-even d-do anything wrong..."
The Old Man keeps his fierce gaze making Hiro sweat even more.His clothes were fully soaked from the adrenaline and well, obviously the sweat that came out of his body.
Commander:"You civilians have a rule that restricts normal people from going outside when a monster is roaming the city."
The boy who didn't know of such rules asked.
Hiro:"Aaand?"
The Old Man looks a bit amuse at the curios face of the sweating Hiro but he immediately goes to his fierce look and responded to they boy question.
Commander:"And you broke the rules."
The pressure of the commander became so unsupportable that Hiro started Hyperventilating.
But he still could get out some pitch noises that the commander cleary heard.
Hiro:"B-but I didn't even know anything about this..."
Commander:"..."
The pressure subsided and Hiro could breath again,the air of the room became normal and noble once again
Commander:"Maybe you didn't to anybody, probably."
Now that the boy could finnaly argue with the mysterious man he immediately says.
Hiro:"And I said that i didn't even know about such things!I was just walking back to my house after school!"
The old man looks at Hiro with a stern gaze.Hiro starts sweating once again thinking that the pressure that he sensed from the man will come once again...But it didn't.
Commander:"I don't care about what you wanted to do."
Said the Commander in an ignorant tone.
Commander:Do you accept my offer?Yes or no?
As Hiro sees that he has no other chance but to accept he agrees to the commander offer.
Hiro:"Y-yes...Why would you even make me a monster hunter or something?I don't even know how to kill monsters or how you guys call them."
The commander grins with keen interest at the boy and unlocks his hands and puts them back on the table.
Commander: "Everyone can become a monster hunter with some hard training."
Hiro thinks about it for a moment.
Hiro:'So even a baby could become a monster hunter?You just need hard training?...This seems suspicious...But I don't even have a chance,do I?'
The boy nods his head affirmatively at the man.
Hiro:"Ok...? What's the next question?"
The man grins at the boy amusingly.
Commander:"That's all,I tried to make it feel like it's something super serious.I didn't want to scare you that hard...Bahaha!"
Hiro jumps out of his seat in surprise as he looks at the old man with wide shocked eyes.
Hiro:"So everything about killing me and things we're just a scam?A joke?!"
The boy sweatdrops inside his mind while thinking at how real the things he experienced we're.This Old Man is as smart as he looks.
Commander:"Bahahaha, half of that, you caused a big problem when you we're outside of you home but happily for you ,you came unscathed from the incident."
The boy looks at the old man's prideful smile with a pokerface.
Hiro:"Now what?"
The commander puts a finger on a red button then presses it.This was a red button that is suspiciously right in Hiro's line of view.
Hiro:'What is that...?Wait...?!?!'
Commander:"Welcome to the association!"
A bunch of balloons and confetti flew into Hiro's face and he couldn't see anything because of them.He gets them out of his face with a move of his hand and looks with a "Are you kidding me" face at the laughing commander.
Commander:"Bahahaha!Now you can go back home.But!After school you have to wait at central park for your first ever mission as a rookie!"
The boy looks at the excited old man with a shocked face while his eyes start to widen by the second.
Hiro:"But what about the hard training thing you we're talking about?!"
Hiro immediately thinks negatively to himself when he doesn't get an immediate answer from commander.
Hiro:'Im ded.'
The Commander presses a finger against his jawline and thinks for a bit before answering the boy.
Commander:"Leave it for another day."
Hiro is unsure but agrees and takes his backpack from the chair and puts it back on his back.
Hiro:"Ok then."
Commander:"If you get lost ask someone and they would take you to the exit,if they don't want to and don't know you(Obviously) just tell them that your a special guest from the commander.Got it?"
Hiro thinks for a bit then opens the door.
Hiro:"Yes sir."
Commander smiles at him then salutes him.Hiro doesn't say anything further, he leaves the room still unsure of how he got into this situation.
The face of the commander starts to darken once again.
Commander:"Things will finnaly start to become more interesting once again." He grins.
