Billie Bob Jones
5.30am I was up and ready to tackle the day until I realized I was spooning Benedito as he slept silently. His hair had escaped from its bun and was spread across the pillow and partially my face. Normally we woke up around the same time but I guessed after flying and staying up for so long he was not getting up anytime soon.
"Dito," I gently shook him.
Luckily for me he was a light sleeper as his eyes fluttered open and he turned to look back at me. He had slight bags under his eyes and dark circles that served as clear evidence that he needed a few more hours of sleep. "What?" his hoarse voice resonated throughout the room.
"I gotta go feed the horses and cattle. You can sleep I'll be back around 8." He simply nodded then turned back on his side before pulling the duvet over his head which made me chuckle.
