"So you're telling me you are no longer CEO of Pereira Enterprise?" My jaw was nearly on the floor as I tried to make sense of what I was hearing.
He nodded with a grin, "Pedro is CEO now. He's been helping me run it since day one. If there was someone I trusted it would be him. The title of glorified butler doesn't suit him. I wanted him to enjoy life as well. He's been serving me his entire life."
"He never seemed to hate it though."
"He didn't, it was a huge argument but it's time he is seen as my dad and not my servant. Including Maria, she's my mum. She deserves to go on holidays with her husband whenever she likes. They're still young. Only in their early fifties they still have a lot they can experience together."
"That's- That's amazing Benedito," I smiled, "I'm glad you're taking some time off for yourself."
