When Benedito said he was bringing me to Italy I imagined something completely different. It was obvious I was not the most well rounded person in this world, I did not even know who Benedito Pereira was until he stood in front of me.
As Clyde often said I truly did live under a rock and I could not even say I educated myself with television because I barely touched the television inside the house unless I was watching football, myself at rodeos or anything to do with sports. Ma filled me in on the news which I suspected was more dramatic than what met the eye.
The only thing I knew about Italy was the Roman Empire because I learnt that back in high school, food; mostly pizzas, spaghetti bolognas and cannolis, their cars of course and the fact they were famous for the mafia.
