"You and Benedito got a real beautiful home," Pa looked around the sunroom then out to the view of the swimming pool and beautiful gardens extending beyond it.
"Thank you," I smiled, "we building a house in Clyde's ranch."
"Really? This one beautiful, it like the white house," he chuckled.
I nodded, "but it more Benedito's style. We figured it would be nice to have something for the both of us."
He looked at me with a sincere expression before he took a sip of his beer, "when y'all getting married?"
I ran the tip of my tongue on my top teeth before I chuckled, "we ain't really sure. We were supposed to get married for his birthday but it all felt rushed."
He nodded, "I can see y'all in love, there's no rush. He's a good man, very respectable. You are good for one another."
His words made my heart swell with pride as a smile spread across my face, "thank you Pa."
