Chapter 92 - A GPS tracker to let them know

"She will, but I'm unable to see the sadness in my kids' eyes. I am aware that my wife and I both are deserving of death and that the only reason we are still living is because you need us, but I would prefer to see my wife as she once was." Frayer answered. He was still aware of his limitations and all of his past mistakes. The only thing that could be done at this time was to make an effort to live a better life and donate everything he owned to charity before going through the funeral door.

"I'll give it some thought." Robin didn't provide a clear response. In all honesty, Frayer and Buckley both deserved prison time and the only reason they were not right now was because they were useful to Robin.

Frayer's face lit up like Christmas Tree when he heard that Robin would think about it. There was at least some optimism. Frayer simply said "thank you" before departing.

"Humans are strange," After he departed, Myrene made a comment.

"That's what makes us humans I guess." Robin responded. It was indeed very strange. In reality, Frayer would no longer want to be associated with his wife because of his past infidelity, but here he was, pleading for her survival despite understanding full well that she would leave him. Humans weren't always self-centered; occasionally, they were capable of unfathomable degrees of compassion.

50 miles East of Matan as Sarah Airport, Libya

Months had passed since the dig began. There were a few more attempts after the initial assault by local groups. The next attempt was neutralised by the Ghost, miles out. However, two weeks after this assault, there was another one. The Ghost leader was so enraged by this that he chose to avoid killing everyone n the following party.

One of them was left living throughout the entire aftermath, and he then went on to give him the images of what they had done. Of course, the young tribal guy who wanted to loot these foreigners almost peed his pants but he understood what was asked of him. He expressed gratitude for being spared and made a promise to spread the word that the foreigners wouldn't be taken lightly.

Following this incident, there were no further assaults on the excavation. The Academi were shocked that there were no attacks after the initial strange incident, but those who felt the gun muzzle on their necks understood why this had happened. Surprisingly, none of the individuals who were threatened with said a word to the Academi or their superiors.

In fact, David whose name was pointed out by Robin was actively learning about space and in fact had applied for NASA for space training. Since then, Robin's counsel had stuck in his mind, and he had been heeding it.

After months of excavation, the team was able to find out that a civilization did exist in this place but it had been almost wiped out. Following investigation, it was determined that a significant flood of some kind happened in the area and was able to destroy the majority of the things. Later, the sand blanketed the entire area.

It was a relatively small area, and among the items they unearthed was a small granite slab on which a representation of a tiny city had been carved. When they brought it out, the text was incredibly hazy and the granite slab was tumbling. However, based on what they could make out, this rock slab did not truly represent the "small city" they had just discovered, but rather an unknown city.

The crew initially believed they had discovered "Atlantis" because this small city had everything. From this tiny city, roads, houses, a few kitchen utensils, teeth, and other unrelated items were built. But after seeing the rock slab, which resembled a much larger, better, and more developed city, they began to wonder if the city they had just picked up was really Atlantis.

Possibly the actual Atlantis was the metropolis carved into the rock slab. Naturally, JARVIS, who had been keeping a watch on this, asked the group to locate the location and begin digging. Naturally, the LiDAR was also conducting a search, which would be beneficial to the squad. In reality, Sigret had requested the Brotherhood's assistance whenever possible and assistance with their excavation.

Fewer individuals had thus joined the group. Of course, the newly recruited men had to be careful not to talk too much about their backgrounds and assume multiple identities.

June 15, 2023

The last few days went away like a storm. The drug's clinical trials had finally reached the second stage, and this medication was used to treat various interior wounds brought on by accidents. For surgeons who had just performed surgery on the patient, it performed like a miracle. In one to two days, the medication would heal them. Although it was noted that internal wounds would recover more slowly than skin or muscle wounds, it was still a thousand times better than the situation they currently face.

There wouldn't be any marks, repercussions, or anything else. People all over the globe were finally learning a little bit about the medicine, and this was practically a miracle. When the medication first became available, only Malaysians who had actively participated in the process and the local press were aware of it.

The large corporations always made sure that their expertise stayed within Malaysia's borders. Of course, the general population may be aware of it; however, the international news seemed to be ignorant of it.

However, following the second round of trials, the miracle drug that would soon be available in the USA seemed to gain momentum in the global news. There was a rationale behind that. It was as a result of the individuals being thrown into the water for attempting to intimidate by stealing a number of these tablets.

Sigret was so 'naughty' that after throwing the dead bodies in the sea, she attached a GPS tracker and placed the access equipment in front of the house of the person who had ordered the hit. Everyone was naturally alarmed by it, including the financiers seated in America. They realised they had to back off at that point.

Naturally, politics of a different kind were simmering in Vanguard and BlackRock when this episode came to light. The individuals who had ordered the hit of smuggling were the targets of Frayer and Buckley, who accused them of scuttling the deal of the century. Naturally, this caused quite a stir among the investors, but Robin inherently paid no attention to it.

It was because he was leaving the nation today after spending months here. During the past month, he had almost done nothing except for visiting North Korea, trying new magic spells that might help him channel the magic power of Dragonborn and of course dating Cathrin. He made the decision to purchase a house just outside of KL. The main reason for doing this was to give Robin and Cathrin more time together.

Unsurprisingly, Cathrin was thrilled with the concept and planned to spend almost all of her time in the new house Robin had brought. Myrene and Sigret had made the decision to remain in the previous rental unit until Robin made the decision to depart, which was today.

Cathrin, Sigret and Myrene had been shopping together like crazy for the past few days. Additionally, an Indian-style wedding would require days to complete all the ceremonies, so appropriate attire was required. Of course the other two ladies would go along with Cathrin. Although these two ladies were close to Robin, Cathrin now realised that he wasn't particularly interested in them. He honestly thought of them as nothing more than friends.

Robin was a little busy the past few days while on the phone with his folks and other family members. For almost all of them, this was the first foreign trip so they needed to be little more educated of how things were done so he had take the first hand in this.

Since his cousin and her fiancé were the story's main characters, they naturally had to deal with more stress. He just guided them when it was required. He had booked a whole Boeing 777 for his relatives to fly over to Florence and from there they would be taken to Tuscany, where Robin had booked a huge villa for the couple. Undoubtedly, this would be a very expensive ceremony!

"Finally visiting a nation on my dream list." As she reclined in the private jet's recliner, Cathrin spoke.

"Huh! I think you could have gone to Italy long ago." This puzzled Robin. Why hadn't she gone when she had enough money to travel the globe?

"I never have enough free time or a strong motivation. I don't want to go to Europe by myself." Cathrin's shoulders were slumped.

"Then I guess we can make this vacation a little longer." Robin winked at Cathrin. He would of course love to travel through Europe again with her.
