Chapter 3 - Mum

It's been a few years since I've been living in the Pegalion castle, my father and mother treat me with a lot of affection and respect towards me, the head of the family had come here just to see me and after a few days he left, well I guess he has a lot of work to do given the size of the role he holds, and in the meantime I found out some information about the Pegalions and the human world today.

The Pegalions are a noble lineage known for their skill with the sword and their use of magic, they are a warrior family with many sons as the head of the family has many sons and they in turn have many sons of their own (a rather normal thing for human nobles), my father is an exception, he preferred to have only one son and that is his castle, every Pegalion when he has a family and a life of his own is entitled to a castle of his own. The Pegalions have their own style of swordsmanship and secret techniques that I am not aware of at the moment, but I do know one thing that has interested me a lot, the Pegalion Protector Constellation.

In fact, for generations the Pegalions have had their own protective constellation of which only the patriarch (I have usually called him head of the family but the term patriarch would be more appropriate, I have recently discovered this) can enter into an actual contract with it, the constellation in question is Lapis Pegasus, a well-known Constellation whom many consider the creator of the pegasuses and their ruler, I don't know much about him as I never spoke to him even when I was a Constellation, we exchanged a few casual glances as we walked the corridors but nothing more.

As for the human world today, I already knew their way of using magic, they used mana, a mystical energy that allows them to use magic.

Right now I'm on the Windy continent the stormy continent, in a few weeks my training should start, I don't know exactly what I'm going to do.

However, there is one thing that has left me quite shocked.

Something about me.

The Constellation me.

Apparently, the Constellation I was had been forgotten.

As if it had never existed.

The King of the Astral Universe had never existed, it made a certain impression on me to think.

Not even in the oldest and dustiest books about the Constellation was there anything about me.

I couldn't explain it, why?

That was just one of the many questions I had.

However, there was also another fact that struck me.

The Demon King of Eternal Torture.

The Constellation that had killed me was now the most revered and loved one.

That bastard was described as "the creator of the universe" "the king of constellations" "the absolute supreme" "the master of all things", literally the whole world knew and loved him.

They describe him as a saint, even though his name says otherwise.

They say he is on the side of humans, what a lie, he hated them all from first to last, he always wondered why they existed.

I was not worshipped, but I was known.

I think in my entire existence as a Constellation no one ever prayed to me.

But let us leave it at that.

Now I was in my room, precisely on my bed, it was a simple but at the same time luxurious bedroom with blue wallpaper.

I heard someone knocking at my door.

"Come in."

As soon as the door opened, I saw my mother's face.

"Hello Mother."

"Hello Zephir, I had come to see how you were doing, and I've told you a thousand times before..."

Her expression turned grim.

"Stop being so formal with me! I'm your mum, there's no one here you have to let on that you're an angel, you should be saying "Hello mummmmm!" and hugging me and squeezing me like a marshmallow!, you shouldn't be saying "Hello Mother" so coldly, what are you the dark knight?!"

"Alright, I get it mot-"

She threw me a murderous look.

"Mum!"

A big smile appeared on her face, soon after she hugged me.

"Good, that's how it's done."

She said it in a loving voice.

But are we sure it's not a threat?

After the hug, he started talking to me.

"You know it's not long before your training starts?"

"Yes."

I said confidently.

"Poof... I was expecting you to start crying saying "no, I'm scared!" with big teary eyes."

But how many mental movies do you imagine?

"You should already know what I look like."

"Well, when you were born you never cried, more like your face said "where the fuck am I?!"

And that was just what I was wondering!

"Well, go for it, your mum will be rooting for you!"

With a smile I answered her.

"Yes!"

Later an uncertain expression appeared on her face, as if she didn't know whether to open her mouth or keep it shut.

"I know it's a bit early to ask you this question as you are eight years old, but what do you want to be when you grow up?"

This question had caught me off guard, I had never seriously thought about it, however I had half an idea.

"I want to be the next patriarch."
