{Cave: 2144 (5 years before the 100 falls to earth)}
It had been a few days since the Pauna was killed there was still damage from it running through the territory and I had started to add more reapers to my kill list.
I started to burn them in pyres to not spread disease. I had also made a hole above my walled cave so that I can open a flap lay down and shoot with a rifle or a bow if needed.
I blended it into the rocks using some of my modern tools. I had turned the cave into a proper cool looking cave. I had made sure it was almost impossible to find the entrance of the bunker. My freezer was absolutely stocked with materials also.
I had slowly cleared away some of the fronts to add a horse post with some water trough for them also.
I also made a little area for the horses to enter and make it airtight in case the acid fog comes.
It was a few days of me just hunting the area when I noticed a few scouts entering the area. These were Azgeda scouts, and not far behind them was a raiding party of 40 people.
30 of them were Azgeda's raiders and the other 10 looked like slaves with all the chains on them.
It was late into the night that I struck using a new weapon I had made. One that is from Assassin's Creed is called the Rope dart. It was basically a dagger with hooks on a rope. So I can kill them and hang them onto a tree.
And that was what I have done, During the middle of the night, I took out the sentries and hung them with the dagger through the throat. I quickly took out the guys in tents being stealthy ghosts in the forest. A reaper of death.
I slowly walked out of the last tent and straight into the middle of the last few alive and slit their throats and threw daggers. It was at that moment that they were all dead.
So I sent a message and like the rest, they were hung from the trees around the camp.
The slaves were all asleep and won't know what happened till the morning. I scouted out the area and found a campsite nearby this one with some of the scouts and a few warriors and Indra who I instantly recognized.
I quickly went back into the Azgeda camp and made the fire overly large but made sure it wouldn't spread. I then disappeared into the night. back to my home
{Forest: 2144}
"Chit happened hir?" Indra asks as she looks around the trees full of dead Azgeda raiders and looks back to the people who were captured by them.
"Osir nou know warchief. Our stegeda was slaughtered by the azgeda en osir were taken as slaves. Osir went kom sleep nou a sound was heard bilaik sheidgeda. Osir woke up kom disha sight off every single won stedaunon." The hunter said.
"Warchief, em could be the goufa" said the scout leader.
"Taim em was the goufa osir beda watch our step. Em ste a real gona" Indra sighed and motioned for them to cut down the Azgeda warriors and collect the weapons used to hang them.
{Cave: 2144}
I sit in my chair waiting for them to enter the boundary lines that I had now made a small fence around and planted a few plants. I was prepared for anything from attacks to talks. I had some alcohol in a pot, Whiskey that is, and two hand-made barrels to the side. One with whiskey and one with wine.
There was a knock at the door, I slowly walked to it and check the peephole. There was the scout leader and the young scout from before and a fair few warriors at the edge of the fence.
I pulled up the massive slab of wood I use to brace the door and secure it on the wall and open the door. I recently made the door so that when I open it from the inside the handle on the door snaps its jaw close to make people jump.
It worked brilliantly as quite a few of them startle when the skull snaps its mouth close.
I open the door and look at the group.
"Can I help you?" I speak clearly.
"Yes, Our warchief wants to speak with you." The young scout points to Indra
"Well come on in. You can tie the horses up and there is a water jug for them and a trough for them over there." I state before walking back in and spinning the meat around to cook evenly.
"That's a pauna skull! yu nowe said em killed a pauna! a f*cking pauna!" I hear an Irate Indra enter the room instantly zeroing in on the new skull with its ribs sticking out the bottom with lanterns on it.
"Warchief, bilaik wasn't hir last time osir were hir!" The scout leader states still in shock.
"Yeah, it's a pauna, Got some meat cooking right now!" I call out cheerfully. Causing all the people to snap back to me with the massive slab of meat on the fire slowly turning.
"When did you kill it?" asks Indra slowly as some of her men come in and look around at the skulls and sat down on the chairs.
"The day after your scouts left! It came charging through the area after some reapers. So I killed them and the Pauna. Ohhh did you get to the Azgeda slaves? I killed them last night?" I ask calmly pulling some of my plates out around the area with piles of meat and some veg on them and handing them out.
"Yes, We found your kills. Never seen that way of killing before? Did you lure them out one by one?" I chuckle and shake my head.
"Nahhh, they're useless they didn't even see me walk into their camp and kill them all even jumped from a tree onto some and they didn't hear me" I mutter.
I hear some of the warriors muttering about what I said.
"My scouts said you saved them, That your tribeless and parentless. What do you want? You could have just left them to die?" Indra asks sternly.
"If I left them to die and you found me near them, you would assume I had killed them. It's why I don't meet people often and live alone out here. It is so peaceful and has less chance of betrayal." I stated.
{Indra POV}
Indra nods to herself thinking about what to do. He isn't officially inside Trikru territory as he was close to the mountain and was bordering them.
She could try and force him to join them. But he seems to want to live out here. He is also a year younger than the Commander at the age of 14. He is well-trained and could make a great guard for her.
She could invite him to join Trikru after he learns Trigedasleng. He would need that for trading as not everyone speaks English.
{Back to OC now}
I passed out small cups of Whiskey to everyone and large mugs of water. I quickly down my Whiskey and pour myself another as I watch some of the warriors act like their throat is on fire.
I burst into laughter seeing some of them with tears in their eyes from the Whiskey.
"It's good stuff aint it!" I chuckle seeing some of the glares I get as I pour myself another.
"What are your plans? Do you want to trade with us? Do you wanna join the Trikru?" Indra asks as she slowly sips her drink.
Hmmm, Now that's a tough one. I don't really wanna leave this area as it will be near to where the dropship falls. But it's a few years away from that yet.
"I'd like to join Trikru but I want to keep my home and I'd gladly trade my items such as furs and stuff for extra items" I state calmly. Indra's eyes seem to lighten at that.
"That is fine! Can we stay the night here and leave in the morning?" Indra asked.
"That's fine, The large chair over there turns into a bed. The chest next to it has pillows and blankets. Sorry for not having more stuff for everyone else." I state calmly.
Internally I am thinking this is a great opportunity to learn some new skills, make allies and meet the Commander if my talent gets spread. Its only been about 4 years since the Coalition was formed.
I am going to have to stick to being raised on the ground though. Don't want anyone to find out I came from the Sky. To be honest I would of preferred a Grounder start but damn that spinney wheel.
I quickly pack a large bag made from bear fur with the head acting as the lid. I grabbed my swords, spear, knives, darts, quiver and bow and stack them next to my bed and threw in some extra clothes. Along with a canteen and quite a few dried meat.
I sit on my bed once more and slowly start drawing random animals I have seen during my time on earth so far. Getting slowly better than my old rough sketch that I used to have.
It was a few hours later that all of them leave the house after some drinking more of the whiskey and eating some food. We shared some hunting stories or some fighting stories before they all decide to camp out front.
The next morning my door was knocked on several times, I knew it was early more likely around 5-6am. I quickly grab my gear and walk to the door making sure all the lanterns are out and the fire in the room is out. Before locking the door behind me.
It wasn't long after that, that I was walking with the convoy of Trikru warriors and scouts. Indra was at the front with 4 other warriors on horses.
Over the next few days, We would camp out on our way to TonDC. I had caught plenty of food for the group to save time. I even sparred several times with some of the warriors and thanks to the Skills, Knowledge and muscle memory I had received. They all got their asses handed to them.
It was the following day that we had arrived at the entrance to TonDC and thankfully unlike Polis. I was allowed to take my weapons with me. Probably helped the amount of respect and looks I was getting for the armor I was wearing.
I have barely taken down my hood so I always had a bear skull covering my eyes showing my blue eyes off all the time.
We finally got to Indra's place, Where all the scouts and some of the warrior's disappeared into the crowd. Most likely to return to there families or to train as some of the warrior's we were travelling with were all about fighting from what I was told.
{Indra's Hut: 2144}
"Young Ivar, You saved the lives of my scouts and saved several people captured by the Azgeda Slavers. What would you like to be rewarded. Blood must have blood" Indra speaks into the chamber.
"Jus drein jus daun." All her guards speak in unison.
"I would like to learn your language and join your tribe if possible. I also want to claim my land as my own. My family have been their all there lives." I speak aloud and bow slightly. Not much but enough not to be offensive.
{Indra POV}
Hmmm, It's a good idea and he has been keeping a whole area clear of Azgeda slavers for a while. Once he is trained I can send him back but I want him closer to the Commander. She needs someone loyal. Maybe I can get her to go to him to award him for killing a Pauna.
First he needs to learn the language and then I'll introduce him into the tribe.
"Very well! You will first learn our language then once that is done you will be branded into to the tribe. But first take of your hood. I want to see your face." Indra speaks with clear authority.
{OC time!}
"Yes Warchief" I state. I slowly bring my hands up to the side of my hood and lift it slightly so the bear skull doesn't drag across my head.
Their was a quick intake of breath when Indra zeroed in on the scar and seen it was greyer due to damage but I could still see clearly. Must be good genes.
"Well nice to finally meet you Ivar. Bring Linkon hir!" Indra shouts to one of the guards. He nods and runs off to get him.
"You will be trained by Linkon in our language and then once that is complete you will come to a ceremony for your initiation." Indra speaks clearly.
[Minor Time Skiperu]
7 months later and I have been learning from Lincoln (or Linkon in Trigedasleng language) he taught me the local language and the banners and colours of each tribe. He taught me medicine with the help of his friend Nyko.
Today was the day we head back to TonDC, Over time I had been back to my Cave and invited Lincoln a few times and every time he just stares at the Pauna skull. I had killed several bears and had gotten all the fur and bones to gift to Indra and a bunch of the meat.
I wanted to make a gift to the tribe as the fur is quite tough and can last a few slashes again a decent sword strike unless it was super sharp.
We arrived outside Indra's hut. There was already a crowd forming as they have all heard of the rumour's of me killing a Pauna and many slavers.
Indra's walks out with the Master Tattooer who will tattoo the Trikru symbol onto me.
(From this point on. All Grounder's will be in English but with the ~~ symbols to represent Trigedasleng. This is because he has learnt the language and no other reason.)
~Today we have a chance to repay a debt. A debt a young man is owed after he saved the lives of our scouts and several people from a village that was taken by slavers. He saved them from these slavers and he also killed a Pauna. I have verified that the Pauna to the North has now been killed and he has killed several Mountain Men. The boon he requested was a simple one and he had requested he learns our language and become part of our tribe instead if living alone in the wilderness! What say you Ivar! Do you accept joining the tribe?~ Indra shouts out to the crowd causing cheers to come out.
~Yes Warchief! I accept!~ I say clearly and loudly. The crowd start cheering more in approval.
~Remove your coat and shirt! You will get your tribe tattoo now!~ Indra states aloud as the Master Tattooer steps forward. I remove my jacket to reveal my wolf fur tank top and pull that off to some whistles from the younger women.
Some were talking about all the scars on my back and some of the tattoos I already had on my arms and back.
~Where did these scar's come from?~ Indra asks as she points to the bullet wound that are on my back and other places.
~Mountain Men Warchief~ This causes some people to look at me with more respect.
The Tattooer quickly tattoos the Trikru tribe mark onto my left shoulder nods and quickly grabs my arm and raises it to the crowd.
~Welcome Ivar kom Trikru! Now we Feast!~ Indra shouts aloud. All the crowd bursts into cheers and start to welcome me to the tribe!
Lots of drinks were passed around and I passed the gifts over to Indra. She smiled and thanked me before pushing me into a crowd on young women and I was dragged away to the cheers of the crowd.
