It had been a few hours since their conversation about Sin energy. They were all relaxing in the commons area. They had yet to do anything, Cassandra, Nia, and Naomi did not know what to do first and were waiting for the maids to tell them. Rose, Luna, Freya, and Eris have not said anything other than casual conversation with each other and the girls.
Cassandra couldn't take this atmosphere any longer and finally asked what was on the three girls minds, "What are we supposed to do now?"
The maids were looking at her and it was Eris her maid that spoke up, "We were letting you girls relax for the time being since you will not be able to relax after."
"Why won't we be able to relax?"
"It is because a year from now you girls will start taking the trial that Elaine talked about and if you want to survive and not be eliminated you must come out on top, meaning that we will be constantly training you and having you cultivate getting you into the Ascendant realm before the trials begin." Eris said.
The three girls looked at Eris with wide eyes then to the other maids who only nodded at what she said.
"Will it really take that long to get to the Ascendant realm. I don't mean to sound arrogant or something but the three of us are already B Rank meaning we just have A and S Rank ahead before Ascendant?" Cassandra asked.
Freya was the one who answered this question, "If you three did nothing but cultivate constantly then you would without a doubt reach Ascendant within 3 months. But there are many things for you girls to learn."
Naomi asked hearing Freya's explanation, "What exactly do we have to learn?"
"There are lots for you all to learn but the main things that we will teach you is unarmed combat, weapon combat, what elements you have and how to utilize them, and other non-combat knowledge also known as professions like potion making, forging, enchanting, or arrays."
"What do we need the professions for?" Nia asked.
Rose explained, "The year you three have is a grace period before the start of the trials. All the resources that you currently have are free but once the trials start you will need to collect merit points in exchange for resources."
"What are the trials exactly and how do we get merit points?" Nia asked for more clarification.
Rose answered with, "There are multiple trials and none of us will know what or when they are until Elaine or one the other Sins show up. They will announce their arrival then come through the Seven Colored Doors when everyone is in the courtyard like last time. As for how to get merit points there are a few ways. The first way is using your profession if you choose one, you can sell services to another Sin candidate but it can not be someone with the same Sin as you.
The second is in events other than the trials such as a fighting tournament where you can win merits or other items or other events that can prove yourselves better than the other candidates if you choose to participate."
Taking a breath Rose continued, "The third is winning bets in competitions or events that are taking place.
The fourth is taking mission from the mission board in the courtyard. The missions can be simple things from cleaning to more difficult things like leaving the castle to hunt down a Mortal Rank magical beast, sometimes there are other things that you need to kill on the mission board. That is the main ways to get merits but there are other ways to get them but you must find out about them yourselves also everyone starts with 100 merits."
Luna chimed in real quick, "You can also use your merits in exchange for items at the store which is also located in the courtyard."
The three girls fell silent each with different thoughts,
-Cassandra 'There is a lot that needs to be done if I am to come out on top from my Sin division.'
-Nia 'To not be eliminated and separated from Rose and Luna I need strength to win the trials.'
-Naomi 'I wonder if I can use my Sin of Greed to get more merits than others some way?'
The three girls after finishing their thoughts glance at each other then at Rose, Luna, Freya, and Eris and speak at the same time with a light of determination, "When do we we started?"
The maids give a smile of satisfaction and Rose speak up to them, "We will start tomorrow since the day is about to end so lets all take a bath then go to bed."
Everyone agreed with Rose and decided to take separate baths with Cassandra and Eris going first then Naomi and Freya next and finally Nia, Rose, and Luna going last.
After the baths everyone but Nia, Rose, and Luna were in their rooms. The two maids were about to go to their rooms when they feel a slight tug on their clothes and see that Nia wants something.
"Is something the matter cutie?" Rose said to Nia.
Nia with a blushed face and pleading eyes ask them, "Rose, Luna can you sleep in the same bed with me again?"
The two are slightly stunned and charmed at Nia's face that melted their hearts so in response they gave her smiles of warmth and affection with a hidden madness that Nia couldn't see.
"Sure thing love, we would love that." Luna said to Nia who breathed a sigh of relief thinking that might decline.
The three heat to Nia's room and get into bed with Nia in the middle of the two curvaceous maids making her feel like she is in clouds.
