Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Lakers Vs Pistons (Part 2)

Detroit does a quick throw-in, and Grant Hill is responsible for distributing the ball. He throws a dime for Terry, who quickly catches it and attempts a mid-range shot.

The ball goes in, and Detroit scores another two points, tied up at 5 each.

The ball is thrown in by the Lakers, and Nick Van is made in charge of distributing the ball.

He makes a long pass to Eddie Jones, who doesn't let this opportunity go to waste and quickly attempts a mid-range shooter.

The ball again falls exactly what happened in the last possession and goes in the basket without any problems. The Lakers take the lead once again.

Detroit does another throw-in, and the ball is soon in the hands of Lindsey Hunter.

Who doesn't listen to Terry and goes in for a mid-range jumper, but as Terry had expected, the shot rims out.

Shaquille O'Neal, who had been on the sideline, quickly grabbed the defensive rebound and started dribbling to the other side of the court.

Upon reaching the basket, Shaq quickly goes in for a slam dunk and, without fail, slams, earning the Lakers a well-deserved two points.

Detroit does another throw-in and passes the ball to Terry, but Terry, who had been having a good game so far, gets stolen by Eddie Jones.

Eddie quickly dribbles it to the other side and goes for a counterattack. The moment he reaches the rim and goes for a layup.

Unfortunately, the ball had none of it, and the layup wasn't good, and Eddie missed the layup.

Kobe, who had not registered a single stat so far, finally does so by grabbing the ball and getting an offensive rebound.

Not in a good shooting position, Kobe passed the ball to Nick Van Exel, who went in for a low post shot, but it was no good which denied Kobe his first assist.

Terry Mills, who was stolen, quickly grabs the ball in mid-air, gets another defensive rebound, and then slowly dribbles the ball to the other side of the court.

The ball is then passed to Lindsey Hunter. Despite his constant misses, he looks like the only option Terry had.

Lindsey Hunter tries another mid-range, hoping to finally score his first point but is denied again, making his field goals 0 out of 3.

The coach of the Pistons is definitely thinking of substituting him now.

Kobe, who was in the area, once again managed to grab the ball and register the first defensive rebound of his career.

Kobe dribbles the ball to half-court, then passes to Nick Van Exel, who passes the ball over to Shaq, who ends up jumping and shooting the ball at the rim.

The ball goes in, and the score looks very much in the Laker's favor.

The Detroit Pistons do another throw which seemed like a regular routine at this point.

Aaron McKie is in charge of distributing the ball, but what is this? Aaron has been stolen at half-court by Elden Campbell.

Nick Van Exel quickly runs forward. Upon receiving the ball from Elden Campbell's ball, he goes for an uncontested three-pointer.

It should have been easy points, but Nick, in a hurry, ends up making a mistake, and the shot is no good.

Aaron McKie goes back and tries to grab the rebound but can't, so he pushes the ball out of bounds and takes a turnover instead of facing two players alone.

The ball is thrown in, but the attack is unsuccessful. It isn't all bad, as Detroit gets a non-shooting foul on Terry Mills.
