Chapter 15 - Quick Exit

"Dumbass..." I hear Emilia chuckle weakly as I stand there holding her clueless on how to exit through the window.

5 minutes later

"To hell with this" I mutter as I give up on formulating a plan on getting out of there.

I whisper, "Emilia, this is gonna hurt a little." Emilia looks up at me in a mixed expression of fear and confusion. She retorts, "Wha--?"

I interrupt her as I clasp her shoulders and start to dash forward, limping every step of the way, as soon as I reach the window, I take Emilia's hands of my shoulders and with a tight grip on her hand, I throw ourselves at the window, bracing for impact.

I hear Emilia shriek in pain as we land on the concrete floor of the dark hallway. I take out the ring shocker from my backpack, activating the rings just enough so that the faint glow helps me to see Emilia lying on the ground, cursing in pain. She looks at me with an expression of betrayal and pain as she mutters," Will pain a little? This hurts like a moth--."

I put my hand on Emilia's ever-so cursing mouth, muffling her immediately.

2 minutes later

Emilia staggers up on her feet as I hold her from the shoulders. She still has that wanting to kill myself look on her face but she still decides to move forward....

I reach the main room of the warehouse--- "Ugh!!" Emilia utters as she vomits on the floor much to my surprise. A disgusted but in pain me decides to move forward with her hesitantly avoiding the puddle of vomit.

We open the door out of the warehouse--

The outside welcomes us warmly with the fresh sight of a man in light armor, camo pants and a bulletproof--

Julian!

He responds," What are you doing--"

He is cut off by a speeding car that hits him right on his side, sending him skidding down the pavement. A moment later, the driver seat door of the car opens.

I look at our criminal messiah who jumps out of the car immediately, in a rather proud fashion.

He calls out to us," In the car. Now!"

Too tired to be hesitant, I limp-dash towards him.
