Lou kept Daphne in his arms as he led us through the castle. It was a fairly empty space; the walls were decorated with golden waves on the white paint with few decorations. We entered a room with a couch and loveseat sofa surrounding a small coffee table with a few books stacked in the middle for decoration. Had this castle not been as clean as it was, I would have thought it was abandoned.
I sat on the loveseat with Alastair beside me. Maven and Karmon stood by the door, not wanting to impose on the king's living space. Behind them, a woman appeared wearing a large apron that covered her dress. She gestured toward the startled two, who jumped away from each other when they noticed the woman.
"You may follow May here to the dining area. It must have been a long journey, so please feel free to eat as much as you'd like." Lou said.
After they left, Lou looked back at us with a serious face.
