"Helda…" I whispered as a flash of blonde hair and a figure in a yellow dress flung themselves towards me. I was about a head taller than Helda, so I could see the sliver of white hair mixing with her blonde hair. Her arms wrapped tightly around my waist, and her face nestled in my chest.
I laughed and hugged her around her shoulders as I rested my head on top of hers. I felt Alastair bristle next to me, but I ignored him.
"You're okay. I can't believe it." She said. Her voice wobbled while she tried not to cry. "I…things got really bad when you left. I was alone, and I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what happened to you after the war."
"The others…Are they here?" I asked
She sniffled and blinked away the tears in her eyes but only made them fall faster. She shook her head as she wiped them away.
"They… disappeared, " she said. "A few days after you left, they just left, I guess. I don't know where they went or what happened to them."
