I leaned against the carriage window as I watched the trees pass by. Alastair had left early in the morning, leaving only a note that said he would be back late in the day. Leo stayed with me while he was gone.
I told her what happened while we were at the Soft Shore Kingdom, about the king's dimensional transmigration, the supposed truth about this world, everything I knew. I suppose she was also curious about what the doctor found out because she hopped into the carriage just before we left. We rode in silence, but just before we arrived at the camp, she asked, "Do you think Karmon will find Daphne?"
She had scolded Karmon for letting the fox out of his sight and, as punishment, made him go back for her. He is also going to check on the kingdom after the death of their king.
"I hope so. If he can't, then I'm sure she will be okay since she's been alone before we took her in." I replied.
