"Weakness? And what would that be?" Maven asked. His attention focused on Mansi, who still hadn't looked away from me.
"Tori." She replied
Karmon sighed and stood up.
"How did you come up with that decision?" He asked
"This entire trip, the king has hardly left his side. He lets him get close to him and even lets him inside his home. If that's not one big red sign, I don't know what is." Mansi explained
"Couldn't he be playing with him? He found a toy, so what? He won't lose his mind if Tori suddenly goes missing." Karmon said
"But just now, the wind saved us. We've seen it happen before. When the king couldn't use his gift, we were in front of him. Or should I say, Tori was in front of danger had he released his gift? The same thing happened here. The wind saved him from falling. Hell! We landed in the only patch of grass here!" Mansi spread her arms to show the patches of dirt around us.
