First, Davy encircled the small area and illuminated it just to make sure that his teammates weren't there and the fog wasn't fooling him with its darkness.
When he confirmed it, he was a bit disappointed. There really was no one there except him. Frowning, he sighed. Davy decided to slowly moved and he would only explore this small area first.
This fog and darkness were too suffocating, and it gave the impression that one was inside the cage of dark mist. It was also easier to get lost since he had no way of knowing if the direction was right or if he was actually moving forward.
Soon, he also saw traces of trees. As he touched them, it was also a huge dead tree, but his vision of it was limited by his height.
In silence and without a concept of time, he persisted and illuminated his surroundings. His steps were neither slow nor fast, but enough to see and observe things clearly.
