Davy smiled at the bird and stroked its head gently. For some reason, he felt so familiar with this bird, as though he were really close to it. It was a bizarre feeling, yet it was real nonetheless.
Perhaps because he remembered the purple flower that Lyle had given him, he had this impression. The moment that he remembered Lyle, his eyes softened considerably before sadness also flashed in his eyes.
He missed them... so much. Davy had a lot of things he wanted to say and ask them. Were their moments together real? He didn't want to think that it wasn't; otherwise, he would have long lost it.
But before that... he looked over at the side. His gaze became firm, and determination once more burned in his eyes. He needed to survive first to meet them.
And as Davy was waiting to ambush another team, he didn't know, but on the other side of the vision of the bird, someone was indeed looking at him.
