Davy's steps were slow as if he was lost as well. There was a lot of debris and cracks in the floor, which he carefully avoided. As he approached Draven, his steps came to a halt. He kept his distance not because he was afraid of Draven, but because he didn't want to startle him in his thoughts.
Somehow, Davy could see himself in Draven's shoes. "I never thought I'd see you down or anything?" he joked, trying to lighten the mood.
Draven raised his head, looking up at him, eyes seeming in a haze. Then he blinked and parted his lips. He remained silent.
"Had you gone silly?" Davy laughed, punching Draven's chest, but Draven caught it himself before he could pull away.
They stared at each other for a few seconds, and Draven stared at him deeply. He firmly grasped Davy's hand.
"So... our sleeping beauty already returned? I thought you'd been buried in Lyle's laboratory," Draven tried to grin, though it wasn't his usual grin, at least he wasn't out of it anymore.
