Back at the village,
Pollux sat inside a shabby inn looking out through the window and wondering if it could be used as an escape route.
Just then Cosmos spoke to him with a solemn voice unlike his usual joking voice
'Lux, we have to be careful around here'.
'What's going on?'.
Pollux asked because it was rare to see Cosmos talking so seriously about something.
The last time he spoke like this was when Pollux was forced to do those hellish training.
Well the trainings were literally from hell so it was expected that it was one of the things that are really hard for him to forget.
And although Cosmos didn't say it because of his ego and mostly because he didn't want Pollux to get complacent and start slacking in training.
Though knowing the kid it would be almost impossible for that to happen.
He was still shocked that the boy could handle that training, you have to know that even though it was a very inferior version of the original skill, it was still a fact that only the true elites in his squad could survive that training.
That's how determined Pollux was to get his revenge
There were many times when he wanted him to stop but Pollux was just so stubborn.
He refused to stop training not even for a day, it was mostly his willpower that kept him going.
'I can sense the aura of my kind'.
'So there are demons here'.
'Yes, it seems like someone is trying to summon this demon'.
Cosmos got really angry when he remembered how he ended up here because of a fellow demon.
Then he got happy when he thought of all the ways he could make this demon feel unbearable and unimaginable pain.
But then again he remembered he was no longer in his body and he was dead.
It all ended with a big sigh and Pollux sensing his thoughts thought of something.
'Can I take him on'?
Cosmos thought of it for a while, sized him up and felt that he didn't have much of a chance.
'No, you'll die if there's any clash between you two, besides we need to get out of here'.
'We don't know if the demon would be able to sense us now, there's no need to expose ourselves'.
But Pollux was thinking of something else
'How strong will he be when the summoning is complete'?
At this point Cosmos could understand where Pollux was getting.
So he hurriedly tried to change his mind
'When he is summoned although he will be weakened for a while trying to adapt to the body he posseses'.
'It's still not something a mortal like you can handle, you'll die before you know what hit you'.
But Pollux did not want to give up on the idea so he asked for a possible way to defeat the demon.
Pollux was able to convince Cosmos to help when he told him the demon might attack them when he's at his peak strength.
So the best thing to do was to kill him before he gets stronger.
As they were discussing, Pollux discovered that there was a point he was actually missing.
And that was the fact that he felt the demon would be stronger if it actually came with it's original body instead of sending it's soul to posses a human.
But Cosmos cleared it up for him
'If a demon was to descend on a guarded plane like this one be would be dealt with instantly by the guardians'.
'So the best choice is possession because that's the only way you can get in without the guardians noticing'.
'Unless you have those heaven defying treasures that can completely hide one's presence, but people of that status would have no business coming here'.
From this info Pollux learnt a lot, for example he couldn't just rashly manifest Cosmos in his demon form because that might get guardians attention.
And he didn't want to get killed unnecessarily so needed a lot of information about demons, the guarded plane like he called Earth and the guardians also.
Just as he was about to ask, Cosmos came up with a plan for them to kill the demon.
'I know you have a lot of questions, but let's leave that for another day'.
'Sometimes too much information can be dangerous'.
Pollux nodded feeling that he had gained a lot today
'So here's the plan on how we kill that demon', Cosmos said with a crazed smile on his face.
