Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Saturday Night December 15, 2013

A thief had been caught. Or perhaps was it a lost child? what was it doing in our jewelry room? how did it get there? Is it a girl... a boy? Where are their parents? I pity the young thing, how could something so frail and with so little so experience have ever come to the idea to steal from us? Where did it get the tools? It's impressive enough that I got in and I applaud such skill. I am afraid of what would have happened if she got away. Where would she go who is she stealing for? I look down at the pitiful thing head bowed under the pressure of my security. And still, no tears, what bravery or what trauma.

But nonetheless, I was impressed. It looks about the age of 3 but I could be wrong seeing how malnourished it is by their ribs showing. Who does this child belong to? Where did this child come from? well, no matter she's not going back anyways. They probably wouldn't even miss her, I mean they did just send her to her death. Who would ever be so foolish to think she could ever come out alive?

August 27, 2014,

turns out it was a child, a lonely child, a lost child in need of food, care, love, and nurturing. She never fought back, (yes it turns out it was a girl ) but I can see the fear in her eyes. When she had her head down when she looked me in my eyes and when she was given any type of affection.

She was shy she was quiet but attentive. Smart even but I already knew that I knew since the day I saw her that our meeting was fated I knew she was meant for my love I knew she was my family. and we don't even have any blood relations. When I asked for her name she responded with "1156" Then the pity I felt for her deepened it swallowed me whole and came rushing out of my eyes.

But she did not waiver she did not blink she did not even feel shame. Smart as she was she wasn't the best when it came to communication she can speak of course but she'd rather bottle it all up and cry alone. But in the same way, she doesn't waiver neither do I, I was patient I was kind I was loving and most of all I was there and I knew that meant a lot more than anything else for her.

Annabel must have been the easiest teen/ pre-teen I had ever met. She was still very calm and quiet except for the silent crouching in the corner during that time a month but my wife helped plenty of that. My boys had adapted to Anna pretty fast, well I think she adapted to them and then somehow captured them in her little hands. even now she's still very little. She's twelve now I still can't believe she was 6 when I first met her.

She was a bit abnormal tho but what else did I expect? But it's not in a bad way she was just a bit stronger than most much stronger than her older brothers. She doesn't get scared no jumpscare can ever shake her. And I know she feels emotions but she's still a little slow to them. And they barely show on her face. But I think that she has still come a long way from how I had found them.

June 13, 2022,

Annabel had gotten into some trouble today, and to say I was surprised in the least was an understatement. Anna had never gotten in trouble before and never hit a child in public she was quiet and reserved still a bit scared of people ( a bit of residue of her trauma locked up in there). I've gotten calls concerned about teachers telling me how brilliant she is but assault.

The call came from the police station, Anabell is said to have been detained for assault, and breaking and entering. I tried to confirm with the officer if they were talking about Marcus or Malekai those boys will be the death of me always caught up in something, But no they clarified to me that it was Annabelle they were talking about. My Anna My Annabelle Picsley.

When I got there I was told by the officer that Anna snuck into the house and followed him around the house haunting him. Banging doors making knives fly spraying fake blood. They said that the whole "prank" was well calculated and executed into action. The boy was so scared he called the cops and sat petrified in the closet sitting in his own shit with a knife in his hand. I didn't know what to say.

The investigation was successful and we found out why Annabelle terrorized the kid, he was a stalker. He had stalked many girls before in her grade. But even with complaints made against him with evidence none ever did anything. So my daughter had taken it upon herself to fix the issue. she lured him in and stalked him as he stalked her and got a layout of his house (we still don't know how she won't tell) and planned for months to terrorize him.

by the time the investigation was done Malekai and Marcus had already gotten to the station. Anna plead guilty and we settled it outside of court paying 20,000 thousand up front and an extra 9,000 for therapy for the boy. and a restraining order against each other to make sure they never get about 100 ft from each other. Meaning the boy would have to move or find another school.

And that was when I realized that my daughter was special in ways that I could never understand and that she was going to attract many different people and personalities along her way in life. But I needed to worry because she was good at the core. And this is where I log off this is her story to tell.
