"Do we have any questions about Soul Realms? If there are none then we will continue to our next topic, none of you have to be embarrassed, as long as your questions are related to our topic." Mio asked all of them and as soon as she asked, there were quite a few students who raised their hands, and those students were mostly the ones who she had already noted as the smart and talented students in this whole Hall.
Mio simply took her time answering them and what the students didn't know was that she was already taking note of them in her mind based on their questions, she wanted to hear how deep their questions were or that they were just asking because they didn't understand some parts. But she was not disappointed with them as all of their questions really made her happy as they were basically asking some things that she didn't explain and some wanted some further explanation about them.
When she finally finished some of them, it was finally time for her to ask Chisato what was her question, this surprised her a little bit as she had always seen Chisato as one of the most attentive students that she had. She would always listen and even take down notes in her notebook, but it doesn't bother her though since learning more is just better.
"Teacher Mio, I just gotta ask. You were saying that you can always make your Soul Realm better and stronger, but is there actually a way for you to lower its Rank? Also can you now please explain as to why you said that the education system that has been planted is wrong all along?" Chisato asked and when Mio heard it, she was a bit shocked, because it was something she totally forgot to discuss with all of them.
"Great question and I'll say it right now, I apologize if I actually forgot to talk about this, even though it is so important. But to answer it, you definitely can, but the real question is, whether it is an easy thing or hard to do. Though in reality, it depends, it can be based on your luck most of the time, think of it like this in simpler terms. It's like a hit or miss, you can extend yourself to the maximum limit like you are overclocking yourself, but you will still be fine at the end of the day, but if something suddenly goes wrong, then let's just say that I feel sorry for you." Mio said and as she was explaining some things she remembered that she had actually a live video of someone overclocking themselves which caused them to damage their Soul Realm severely.
"I actually have a video, well it's a private video since it came from my olden days. But none of you have to worry since it is not illegal, so here you go watch the screen." Mio said as she connected her laptop to the TV before starting to play it.
The video was only 3 minutes long but all of the students shivered in fear when they saw what was playing on the screen because what was happening was basically a mass murder of Humans. In every frame, there was a dead body on the ground, but amongst the corpses was a man who was standing straight and faced all of the Beast and Monsters in front of him without fear.
"Dragon Slayer Art: Thunder Prism!" The man shouted and just like that the thousands of enemies in front of him were destroyed by his strong attack, but just as the students were wondering why nothing was happening, they suddenly saw the man's body began to convulse. Soon after veins started to appear on his body and just as everyone thought that nothing worse could happen anymore, his veins exploded making him into a bloody mess.
"What you saw right there was his body exploding, or to be precise his Soul Realm exploding because he overclocked himself too much. He was already fighting for more than several days when this clip started and he didn't have a single rest, but since he didn't want to go down without any fight, he used every single ounce of his powers to defeat everyone while still fully knowing that he would live. But what he didn't know was that that move basically made him a cripple." Mio explained after finishing the video the look of horror on everyone was something she was not expecting, but she remembered that most of them still hadn't matured yet.
"I apologize for showing it, but it's a must anyway since this is the kind of profession that all of you are looking for. But then again, he was only a cripple for an entire year, now I know that sounds extremely long, but I will still take it rather than being a cripple for the rest of my life. Now this man has become a pioneer in our world." Mio gave them some words of encouragement at least which worked a little as it calmed them down a bit.
After that, she took a quick water break as she became thirsty again. After drinking her water she looked at Somi who was quietly sleeping in the chair with a peaceful look on her face, so without being too loud she set up a barrier for her so that no one could see her sleeping, and most importantly so that no one could bother her. When she was finally done she went back to answer the last question that Chisato had.
"Now… I guess it is finally time to answer the last question. Which is how the educational system has fallen off, I don't have a clear answer to any of you for now because I don't really know. I might be exposing my age for this, but I don't really care at this point, the thing that I only want is for all of you to learn the real knowledge that you need to learn, not some bullshit. When it was my time like over 500 years ago, the educational system was not like this, it was nowhere as shit as like this." Mio said and when those words came out of her mouth everyone gasped in shock.
All of them already had an idea that she was an old person because of how much knowledge she had, Irene was the most suspicious one as she still remembered how her Teacher threatened to even kill the most powerful man on Earth if she requested it. That alone says so much about who she was, that she believed that she was at least 200+ years old, but she would have never thought that she was actually 500.
But Alice knows that she was at least 700 because the Grand Saintes would be around that age if she would still be 'alive, but she chooses not to say anything as it would be extremely rude of her to say some private information about a person whom she doesn't even know a lot apart from her identity.
"I'll give you an example and I don't care if some of you get offended, but it is just how things are supposed to be. Nobles shouldn't even get any special treatment in any Academy at all because this place is considered a School and Training Ground for all aspiring Heroes in the future. Noble or Commoner, it doesn't matter, back in my days when you flaunt your Nobility you will get expelled almost immediately."
