Chapter 72 - Mio Learning Some New Things

When she left, it was already time for her next class to start, so without wasting any more time, she led Somi to her next class, but when she arrived, she was quite surprised to see that it was already half full. There were some teachers inside again, though she was sure that they were not there to also listen to her lesson, they were here to help her manage all of them. If she was the only one whose going to handle all of them, it would be extremely hard even for her since there are just too many people.

"Well… it seems that I don't even have to wait that long. That's good since this class is going to be extremely long and boring. Lady Somi, do you know about this stuff, Magic Theories I mean?" After going to the stage she gently placed Somi on her chair before asking her about Magic Circles if she knows something about. Even though it might sound bad for her to ask something like that because of Somi's condition, she thinks that it would be better to treat her as a normal person.

That is the reason why she asked something like that, plus Somi has said to her that she reads a lot, she even boasted about finishing her Mother's entire library of books, so from just that, she knows that she would at least know something about it.

"Magic Theory? What is that?" Somi was confused because it was the first time she had heard such a term in her life, even at the library of Yuki, there were no books that said something about Magic Theory. Now when she heard that there was still something that she didn't know, she also got a little excited, she got excited at the thought of learning something new that even her Mother might not even know.

"Oh? This is something that you don't know. Well, it's actually very simple. Magic Theories are basically theories that people create in order to make Magic and even life easier. Consider it this way, an advanced creation of technologies, even architecture." After Mio finished explaining Magic Theory to Somi, she saw a slightly disappointed look on her face.

"Ahhh… so that's what you mean. Actually, I know what you are talking about now, and the reason that I didn't recognize it at the start is that we don't really call it anything. Because in the Immortal Realm, such things are just common. But even so, creating Magic Circles must be extremely tough, right? I read that a Magic Circle is one of the most complex things that a Magician can create." Somi said as she complimented Mio for being able to create Magic easily.

"Really? Is that really hard? Does Master also have a hard time creating Magic Circles? For us, it's actually simple, but of course, if you only have a deep understanding of it." Mio said as she casually made a small Magic Circle that was about the size of a palm, but just as she was about to show it to Somi, she stopped.

"I'm sorry… I forgot that you can't see with those blindfolds." Mio apologized, but when she saw that Somi didn't mind it, she sighed in relief, and just as she was about to remove her Magic Circle, she was stopped by Somi.

"Can… can I see your Magic Circle? Even though I don't have any Magic, I have seen a lot that I think I will be able to judge yours." Somi said shyly as she turned her head away from Mio because she was embarrassed to say that, but when she heard a light chuckle, she was kind of relieved.

"Of course, then here is your new blindfold. I'll make a Magic Circle and Barrier that hopefully is strong enough to contain your powers." Mio said as she then cast a very powerful Magic Circle that would help the Barrier to make it stronger, and she did them invisibly so that no one would be able to see them. She even hid their aura so that no one could feel it, the only thing they people would see if Somi changing her blindfold with her help.

Fortunately, nothing bad happened when Somi switched her blindfold, and it was all thanks to Mio's barrier that something bad didn't happen.

Now that her blindfold has been switched, she can clearly see some things, but the first thing that she saw was the extremely large crowd that is continuously growing as the minute passes because students still keep coming.

But she quickly averted her eyes from them because she immediately got goosebumps when she set her eyes on those many people and now, the only thing that she set her eyes on was the Magic Circle that Mio made to show her, and when she saw it, she couldn't help but be pleasantly surprised.

"Wow… is that a 7th Tier Magic Circle?" Somi was pretty amazed to see such complexity of a Magic Circle here on Earth and even though it was just a 7th Tier Magic Circle, it was still pretty impressive because it just shows how truly talented Mio was in this field.

But little did Somi know, she was not the only one who was shocked. Even Mio was shocked because of what she said, because in all of Mio's life, this was the first time she had heard that kind of Term for Magic Circle, she didn't know that there was a tiering system there.

"Oh, you don't know that Magic Circles can be Ranked? Did my Mother didn't teach you anything about it?" Somi who noticed Mio's reaction immediately knew what was the reason behind it and she couldn't help but scold her lazy Mother in her mind for forgetting such a detail.

She was even starting to pity Mio because of what kind of treatment she was getting from her Mother, she was her disciple yet it seems that she actually didn't teach much to her. But now that she is here, she will teach her everything that she knows that Mio might not know.

"Well… since you heard it now, there is a Ranking System in Magic Circles. If you don't know it, then your people for sure don't know it too, so keep it to yourself for now. Basically, there are 10 Tiers in a Magic Circle, though I only call it Tier so that I can have a better explanation on it, but a Tier just means how many Circles there are." Somi said before coming down from her chair and started pointing at Mio's Magic Circle.

"Your's is a 7th Tier Magic Circle, or in other words, it is a 7-layered Magic Circle because again, there are a total of 7 Magic Circles there. The more that you add, the harder it is, but I'm assuming that you already know that, so I don't have to explain it. But just note this, I don't know if you know this, but in each layer, you can put different Magic Circle in them, not just one. That is why it is very complex, your Magic Circle actually has a flaw in it because even though it is a 7-layered Magic Circle, it only has one concept in it." Somi took her time to explain everything to Mio, but even though it was taking a while, she was happy about it.

Because at least she knows that she isn't that much of a burden and Mio knows that she can still help her, even in little things like this.

"What? I didn't know that… Then, how can I correctly do a proper Multi-layered Magic Circle, Lady Somi?" Mio said curiously, but deep inside she was very excited because now she knew that there were still some things that she didn't know, and best of all that it was in the field of Magic Theory, her favorite.

"It's actually simple, but the execution is hard. Try making at least a 3-layered for now, or even a two. Make me an enhancer of some sort. Now to do this, you just need to make your outer circle first, you can decide what it is, whether strength, speed, or just anything. Then after you're done with that, you need to add another layer inside of it and add another type of enhancer. I'm sorry if I explained it badly, but I don't really know how to explain it to you correctly." Somi apologized as she didn't know if her explanation could get through Mio's head, but when she saw that Mio was already doing it, she sighed in relief.

But just as she expected, Mio failed on her first attempt. So when Mio tried it again, Somi finally noticed the problem, and it was partially her fault for not explaining everything to her.

"See? I… I'm sorry, but I didn't explain it to you fully. But you need to have some sort of Mana feeder embedded on the Magic Circle so that it can continue." Somi apologized, but Mio didn't mind it at all, she just followed her instructions, and finally, when she added the final thing, she successfully made a 2-layered Magic Circle.

"Did I do it correctly, Lady Somi?" Mio asked with a little bit of sweat on her forehead as she didn't expect it to be so challenging because stabilizing it was the most difficult thing.

"Yeah, you did it. Now making a 7-layered is just the same concept, you just need to start with your outer before going deeper inside." Somi was happy for Mio that she did it in under just a few minutes. She was truly a genius and a talent.

"Lady Somi, if you said that there are 10 layers, then does that mean that Master can easily make a 10-layered Magic Circle too?" Mio asked curiously.

"Yeah… but not exactly," Somi said a bit hesitantly, not knowing if she should say the truth.

"What do you mean by that?" Mio was even more curious to know what her Master could do.

"It is a 10-layered Magic Circle… but in every layer, there are more Magic Circles. Now it is on you if you will believe what I say, but since you asked, I'll answer you truthfully. My Mother can do thousand or even a Million layered Magic Circles because, in each layer, there are hundreds or even thousands of Magic Circles still embedded inside." Somi gave in and said what she knew about what Yuki could do.

"But that isn't even the most shocking thing about it. She can make one in a single second if she wishes to, she can make it in the blink of an eye even." Somi even doesn't believe the words that are coming out of her mouth because it just sounds so unrealistic, but she also experienced it herself, and it was because her blindfolds were as such. It was a 10-layered Magic circle and in each layer, there are thousands more.

"What? How does she even do that? Does her brain doesn't explode, because even just making one is hard enough." Mio was completely shocked, she even paled at this because now she can truly see how much of a Monster her Master is.

"Well, the only thing that she said is… Be good. That's it."
