At this moment, all of them felt that the woman in front of them wasn't lying when she said that she was a lot older than they thought she was and combined the stories that were circulating around the school about her being so nonchalant even when facing against waves of Beasts only make that claim even more believable. In their minds, they could never think of a sane person who would have that kind of attitude in front of the Beast that can kill someone easily, but as for their Teacher, she was that kind of person.
Even though they haven't seen that scene with their own eyes, they somehow believe those stories even how absurd it was, because they have already seen their Teacher in action. It was the time when Mio fought with the Vice Principal, all of them saw how calm she was, even when she was put into such a bloody state, she never cared about it.
"Oh, were you thinking about my fight with the Vice Principal, I guess that is one example, and yes what you are thinking is right. I never fear death anymore, because for me it is just stupid to think that death is scary, but of course, there is still something that I fear, and that is losing the people who I cherish the most." Mio's words first came in a very arrogant, but when she got to the end of her sentence, it softened up.
This was when they realized that even if their Teacher seemed too tough and strong, she still had some soft parts on her, and all of them couldn't help but look in the direction of Somi who had already fallen asleep due to boredom. But when she suddenly felt that a lot of people were staring at her, she shot back up.
"What, what is happening, big sister Xian'er? Why do I feel like I'm being stared at?" Somi asked attentively as she tried to gather some information, but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't because of her blindfold. All that she was feeling was that she was being stared at by everyone and it was slightly making her uncomfortable because she was not used to being stared at by so many people.
"Come on… stop staring all of you. Can't you see that you are scarring her?" Xian'er scolded as she just glared at all of her classmates to make all of them stop before explaining to Somi what happened before they stared at her, and when Somi heard the explanation, she was shocked.
'Was something like that so surprising?' That was the only question in her mind because for her, it wasn't, because she believes that everyone alive has something that they are afraid of. Just like with her Mother, even though she was so strong, there was one thing she was afraid of, and it was when all of them suddenly disappeared or left her.
But instead of saying anything about it, she decided not to say anything more, and just smiled at it, as if she was touched by what her 'older sister' said regarding her. She also silently thanked Xian'er for what she did before trying to fall back asleep again.
"Alright, I think that will be all. Since tomorrow is the weekend, we won't have any classes of course. But just be ready for Monday because I'm going to try to ask for permission if we can borrow one of the Training Rooms for our time. But, don't get your hopes up just yet, because I can't promise all of you that she will let me. That will be all, you're all dismissed now, I'll see you all later at my large class." Mio said as she dismissed all of them and gave them some news on what they would be potentially doing next week just that made them excited.
"Ahhh, I'm sorry Somi, but I have to leave you now. I can't take you with me in my next class." Xian'er apologized as she felt sad that she would be parting ways with Somi and even though it was just one hour apart, she was very sad because for her it was a very long time. Especially when their next class was History Class, an hour would feel like an eternity for them.
"It 's ok, my big sister is here to take care of me anyway." Somi just smiled and didn't mind that she would part with Xian'er, though she did feel a little bad when she saw Xian'er being sad, so she then made her way toward her before tugging at her shirt.
"I'll wait for you." With that, Somi left and went toward Mio without saying anything more and Xian'er who was just so sad just then instantly beamed with happiness, it was as if she won the lottery of how happy she was. Sana was even forced to take Xian'er by hand because she already started daydreaming and they were about to be late, so she had no choice but to drag her.
"Lady Somi, have you gotten a liking to Xian'er?" Mio asked as she simply didn't expect Somi to actually take the initiative to do something like that. Even though she had only met her, she already knew that she was cold and indifferent because of her past, but it seemed that it was just like a facade to hide her pain.
"I don't hate her… I guess that is just it. Out of all the students that you introduced me to, she was the one who stood out the most. I mean… just her personality is enough to make her stand out, if she met my sisters, maybe they would have gotten a headache from her because of her chattering." Somi didn't fully give an answer, but for Mio, it was more than enough because at least, Somi was getting know to some people.
Even though they were not her age, it was still good since at the end of the day, she was still making friends.
