"Maybe I'll listen to it, but you're the one who should listen, or else she might get mad at you for not listening to her." Somi kindly rejected her, but it was not because she was not interested, but because listening would not help her in any way possible. She doesn't even have any powers in the first place and the main reason is that she has already read so many things about Magic back in her home, so it wouldn't matter more to her.
Those in the things that she simply does when she is bored, she always reads in her free time which is almost every day, she was probably the one in their family apart from her Mother who has read their entire library. So even though she doesn't have any Magic herself, she still knows a lot, even more than anyone in the Mortal Realm because of her reading all the books that her Mother wrote herself.
"Yeah, you're right. Your big sister is pretty scary when she is serious, so I'll definitely listen." Xian'er chuckled very softly as she began to put all of her attention back to Mio and when Somi felt that Xian'er was no longer putting her attention to her, she just smiled and sat there quietly while listening to the lesson that Mio was talking about.
"Now, since my subject to all of you is basically just homeroom, which in reality is just a waste of time. I'm going to teach you some little things that will help you, as long as you understand them. So let's get started now shall we?" Mio said before turning her back and began writing some things on their board.
"The Gate. The very thing that has put humans in a tight situation for so many years and even to this day. Now there are many different kinds of Gate, how many are there, bonus if you can name all of them?' Mio asked as she waited for someone to walk in front and take the marker from her hands.
But when she asked that question, almost everyone wanted to go up and write the answer, but they were too nervous to do so, so they just sat in their chairs. When Mio saw this, she didn't get mad and just blurted out a random student's name.
"Since no one is willing to volunteer, then I'm going to call one of you at random. Yin Chu, come down here and answer it."
"YES!" Yin Chu who was shocked to hear her name immediately stood up and nervously walked towards Mio before grabbing the marker from her hands. She then began writing down her answer and when she was finally done, she placed the marker down back on the table before sitting back on her chair in a hurry. She was really nervous just now,k but when she was done, she was glad that this was already taught to them.
"It looks like you're pretty confident with your answers, lets actually see if you got them right. Hmm… so you wrote that there are 5 different kinds of Gate, and they are the Monster Gate, Beast Gate, Demonic Gate, Elemental Gate, and finally the rare Hybrid Gate which can contain two or even more of the beings in one Gate. Well, you got them right." Mio said as she scanned Yun Chi's answer and gave her the pass.
"It seems that this has been taught by all of you already, so let me ask you a different question, but still on the topic of Gates. How can you know what kind of one Gate is by just one glance? Remember, nothing has come out of the Gate yet, you are just looking at the Gate by your eye." Mio now asked a question that made them stumped because this was actually a thing that something that hasn't been taught by them, though they actually knew that there was a way, they didn't know the answer.
"Oh, so it looks like this is something that hasn't been taught huh? Well, that's not entirely a bad thing, but you definitely need to know it. Since all of you don't know it, why don't you try to guess it? The answer is actually very easy." Mio said as she even gave them a small hint.
But even with her hint that states that it was clear with just a glance, they still couldn't guess it. This made Mio sigh a little as she couldn't believe that they couldn't guess what it was even though it was already so obvious. In reality, her question was a trick question, all gates would look the same, and size would only be the big difference, but that usually tells how dangerous it was.
Somi who was listening to everything couldn't help but guess curious about it, of course she didn't know the answer to it since there was no book that had information about the Mortal Realm, at most she only knew very little about it. But even so, she couldn't help but also want to join in and answer, since that is what she loves, getting more knowledge.
"Big sister… are the colors of the Gate different from one another?" Somi asked one of the most obvious questions and when Xian'er heard her, she almost couldn't believe it at first because there was actually something that her little sister didn't know. But when she remembered her condition, she felt sad, but decided not to show it.
"Well, there's not really any difference in color because all of them look absolutely the same. Their color is like the Space, like dark blue." Xian'er answered.
"Oh, is that so? How about their Aura, I'm sure there is a difference between some of them?" Somi asked, but her words were almost heard by everyone, and when they heard it, they felt extreme shame because she just had realized that they had been beaten by a 7-year-old child who hadn't even seen a gate in real life.
"That… yeah, you actually answered your big sister's question. Teacher, is that the right answer? Their Aura?" Xian'er asked, but she was still not as confident as she had only seen three types of Gate in her life, which were Beast, Monsters, and Demonic.
Mio who also heard Somi's question couldn't help but sigh once more, she already knew that everyone in her Master's Family was really strong, smart, and special, so there was no surprise that Somi could have come up with an answer. But she was still pretty disappointed in her students because it was so obvious already, she just wished that most of them had some more common sense.
"Well, you are correct, but I won't give you any points in that since that answer didn't really come from you. So let me ask you another question. If every Gate were all C Rank, which one would be the hardest to fight, out of the five?"
