'This is weird… how can these people not notice the presence of Lady Somi earlier, but how could Alice see her that easily?' Mio asked herself as she was confused, she was sure that these three didn't notice the existence of Somi because of her Magic, but it was different for Alice. She saw right through her Magic so easily.
But, it was not the appropriate time to ask right now as she had too many things to do, even though she was curious about it, she was not too concerned about it since her identity hadn't been revealed yet. She's just going to use stronger Magic so that in the future there won't be any problem for her and Somi.
"What? Can you repeat what you just said?" Najin didn't think he was hearing right and so was the rest when Yuki said the details of the Mission to them. For them, there was no way that there was such an easy mission, especially when it was coming from someone like Yuki whom they have heard a lot because of all the stories of Mio.
"It's just I said, she asked me to take care of her daughter for three years, and the reason for it is because… Lady Somi, can I explain it to them?" Mio kneeled on the ground as she then looked at Somi and asked for permission so she could explain to them her condition and why she had to take care of her.
Somi just stayed quiet for a few seconds which made Mio a little tense thinking that she had got too far with her request, but after hearing the words of Somi, she was relieved and was finally able to take a breath after holding it in for so long. She thought that she had already made her upset by making her go all this way by carrying her here and now she was asking her for permission so she could reveal her secret to them.
"It doesn't matter to me. All the people in the Immortal Realm know that I am cursed, so a few more people know it wouldn't hurt me." Somi said indifferently as she just looked away from everyone, though because of her blindfold, she didn't realize that she actually faced all of them.
"Alright… So, this is the situation. Lady Somi here is cursed by something, which makes her eyes extremely deadly. My Master said that her eyes are so powerful that they can kill a person, that is if she looks at them for too long. I personally experienced it, when my Master removed the blindfold from her eyes, I felt an extremely powerful pressure bounding my body which made it hard for me to breathe. Only when it was covered again that I return to normal like nothing ever happened.
As Mio finished explaining to them the situation and why she had to take care of Somi, they felt pity towards her because, at such a young age, her freedom was basically taken away from her because of the curse on her. Now they understand the situation and all of them are willing to help if it means making their world safe.
"You guys don't need to pity me, I'm already used to this." Suddenly, Somi who was quiet the entire time suddenly opened her mouth. Her words made them feel guilty because even though her eyes were covered, that didn't stop her from sensing the feelings of people around her.
"Cough… The sole reason why I'm telling all of you this is because first of all, I want help from all of you since the more people helping me are of course better, and it would also make it easier for me to take care of her when I'm out. As for the second reason… I will be leaving this world, once these 3 years are over, I'm going to the Immortal Realm." Mio finally fished telling them why she brought all of them for this short meeting, it was to ask for help and to say in advance that she would be leaving.
"You're leaving, but why? Why, do you not like it here anymore?" Najin's voice shook when he heard that Mio would be leaving them and worse is that he doesn't even know how long he had to wait for him to see her again. The woman that he loves and means a lot to him will leave him.
"That… I don't-" When Mio was about to answer Najin's question, Somi suddenly interrupted their conversation and logically explained to them why Mio would leave them there.
"The reason is very simple, my Mother wants her to move from here so that she can grow further because by staying in this World, she is limiting herself. My Mother has told a few stories before, she said that Mio Nanase was the most talented person that she had found in the Mortal Realm. Even though the Mortal Realm is a great place, it is still lacking compared to the Immortal Realm, and I know that Mio also wants to explore a lot of new things. I'm confident in the first reason, but for the second reason, I'm not entirely sure." Somi finished explaining to them and her words woke all of them up because they also knew that it was the truth.
"I… I see, then can you at least tell me if you are ever going back?" Najin gave up and just asked with a broken heart.
"Of course, this is my home. I'm definitely going back here." Mio said with a smile as she reassured Najin's worries, but just like last time, Somi interrupted again which made the atmosphere even more dreadful.
"I wouldn't count on that thought. I'm not trying to break your spirits here, but this is the harsh truth. Only my Mother has the key to go to this place. Even my Older Siblings can't enter this place because they want to, they need to go through our Mother first."
"No way, then does that mean there she is intending to keep me in the Immortal Realm forever?" Mio was shocked by this information as she didn't think that this was the truth behind all of it, but thinking about it again. Somi did make sense as Yuki is their Goddess so she should be the only one who can access this place.
"For your question, I do not know. But I think that you will be able to go back home, but it may be after like 10,000 years? I'm not sure, but it's going to be millennia before you can go back. Just like what you said earlier, this is your home, so she'll definitely let you go back, but it would depend on your performance." Somi answered Mio's question which made her eased a little.
"But why are all of you so tense about this? You can just also ask my Mother for a pass to go to our World if you want to, make it seem like it's your reward for taking care of me." Somi said so casually which made Mio laugh awkwardly because she didn't think that it would work, but the other three were thinking differently.
They were very excited at the thought of joining Mio to go to the Immortal Realm. They were no longer separated and from this news, Najin was the happiest since there was still a chance for him to win over Mio's heart.
"Do you really think that is possible, Lady Somi?" Solar this time was the one to ask as of course she doesn't want to get her hopes up for nothing.
"I can say a few words, but of course, that is not enough. If you can prove yourself to her, then your chances are higher." Somi gave her honest thoughts and even gave them advice which made them excited.
"We'll work hard to meet your expectations!"
