Chapter 25 - A Message

"Irene… doesn't that mean that… she was still holding back against the Vice-Principal? If she were to really go all out, then doesn't that mean that-," Lucy didn't manage to finish her words when her mouth was covered by Irene's hands. She was confused why Irene would suddenly block her mouth since what she said is basically the truth, Martin had no chance of winning in the first place, and Mio was just playing around with him. Even if some were to say that Martin was also holding back, he would still be defeated by Mio who would just put him to shame as their difference was simply too high.

"Whatever you have think of, forget it. Never say it aloud or else, you could get yourself and your family in trouble if you do." Irene whispered in Lucy's ear pulling her by the nape. And when she felt Irene's breath on her neck, she got goosebumps and unexpectedly went red. Her face slowly heated up as she blushes in embarrassment and quickly pulled herself away from Irene to calm herself down, but every time she tries to calm down it was useless. On the other hand, the woman who caused her embarrassment looked confused about what is happening to her friend, so she was quite worried when she saw her looking a bit red.

"Did you catch a fever or something? You look red…" Irene said out of slight concern as she shortened their distance and stood right in front of her. But because of their height difference, she was over a head taller than her which puts Lucy to only reach her chest. Before her hand could reach Lucy's forehead, she ran away from her as fast as possible leaving her confused, but at the same time irritated which made her confused even more. Why was she irritated when Lucy ran away from her?

"This is tiring… Should I just stop while it is still quite early?" Mio who is already back at her apartment all alone laid in her bed as soon as she got back and begins to complain about everything that had happened in a single day. Normally in a single day, she would just stay inside her apartment, playing games, music, or some other random stuff that she finds fun. Adventuring for her and dungeon running is now very boring as there was no thrill for her in doing that as all Monsters would just run away from her, and chasing them down is even more tiring for her.

"Ahhh… Fuck my life. Let's just do this for one year, and if nothing fun happens I will just quit. Since I'll just basically waste my time there." Mio said with a sigh as she sat down on her bed and looked at her spacious room before shaking her head slightly as she didn't think about anything anymore and took a shower. But as soon as she got out, she got a notification from her System which she has not heard for more than 500 years already, so she was quite skeptical when she heard it, but she still read it to see what it was.

Ding!

[The host has received a message from Solar.]

"Hey! What the hell were you thinking? Have you finally lost your mind because of loneliness? HAHAHAH! The lazy and short-tempered Primordial Goddess of Death has actually decided to become a Teacher at her own Academy, that is the funniest thing I have heard. Well back to the topic, why I really messaged you. If you really are bored and nothing has to do, why don't you come back with me? I have some job for you to do here, but if you don't want to it's also fine."

By: Solar

P.S. While you stay there, take care of my daughter for me, I'm sure you already met her since she is the Principal there. Anyway, good luck with your lonely life!

After reading the whole message that was sent to her, Mio had the urge to smack the woman who she can already see smirking. Just thinking that smirk on her face was enough for a reason for her to beat the crap out of her.

Solar was a friend that she made over 700 years ago and they are still friends to this day. In fact, she is one of the few people who knows what her real identity is. They have a lot of rich history so seeing her Message her like this again put a little smile on her face since Solar was technically right, she was lonely and had no one. Unlike her who has a happy life, she has a kind and caring husband, and on top of that, she has a very talented beautiful daughter. She hasn't been in contact with her for more than 500 years already as both of them were busy especially Solar since she is the one who runs the Government of Earth.

Mio thought of not sending a reply at first, but she then changed her mind and gave her an answer before finally dressing herself up in a nightgown and laying down in her bed.

"I'll gladly reject your proposal, I don't have any interest in working for the Government. Also, you can leave your daughter with me." Mio replied before closing her System Interface as she grabs her laptop and begins to watch whatever interested her.
