Chapter 14 - Zero Chant

"Interesting, her Stats are not bad for a Swordswoman, but the most interesting part is her Attribute towards the Shadow Element. If she is nurtured right, she can potentially become the Strongest Swordswoman on Earth. Sadly though, the chances of it happening is very slim, her personality is going to block that achievement." Mio looked at Sana intently before casting her gaze away.

(If you're wondering why Mio and Alice didn't have any levels. That is, I forgot to put it. I have already fixed it as you are reading this. Mio is Level 599, and Alice is Level 600.)

Shadow Element was looked down upon because they see it as one of the weakest elements out there. Shadow Element is a branch element of Dark which makes it weaker in people's eyes. But no one knows that Shadow Element is far stronger than Dark due to some reasons.

In the current world, there are only about 15 Elements that can be used. Each of them is ranked differently because of their rarity and strength. But that is not all, some Elements have branch Elements such as Shadow coming from Dark.

That was currently all of them, as for the Necromancer Magic, it is a part of Dark Magic, but not a branch meaning everyone can use it as long as they have the Dark Element, but another point is that, even if the user has the Fire Element, for example, he/she would not be able to use Lava because, in a sense, Lava is an Element of its own.

"Which part of a lesson did your teacher last teach you? No, never mind that. Let's start with the basics which are chanting before we get into the more complex lessons. I'm pretty sure that all of you already know that we need to have a chant before we can cast any spell, but chanting also applies to a Melee Fighter. But because it's too long, we can shorten it to one word, right? Fen Xiu, can you show us an example of a quick chant spell?" Mio smiles as she looks at Fen Xiu and waits for her to make a move, it didn't take long for her to do what her teacher was asking for.

"Freeze!" Fen Xiu muttered, the Bottle of Water that was placed on Mio's desk then was frozen. Mio nodded slightly before asking the student to go back to her seat.

"Good~ But do you know that we can shorten our spells/abilities even more?" Mio asked with a smile as she tapped the table with her fingers. But after her words came out of her mouth, the students immediately interjected her idea.

"How is that possible? Chanting is the most important principle of a Skill!" Jiang Li who has the loudest voice asked in disbelief.

"Oh, then I guess the teachers here are dumb. They don't even know this? How stupid. Then let me ask you a question, do you see the famous/strong people around the Globe ever chant their Skills?" Mio Muttered her first sentence before asking all of them, but when she saw their shocked expression she already knew the answer.

"They don't, right? That is because of a Natural Skill we call Zero Chant. This will let you cast any spell without chanting-" Before Mio could finish her words, Jiang Li asked her a question.

"But isn't that because they don't want other people to know the details of their Skills?"

"That is stupid… Even if they don't want to see the details, we have eyes. We can observe what the Skills do. Do you want to learn how to do this?" Mio had a sly smile on her face as she flicked her finger and soon the Space around her started to break, every student of Class F could hear how the Space around them began to break, but what shocked them the most, is when they saw a Space Crack beside their teacher.
