EPISODE 304; THE RUPTURING: THE HOUSE OF SOARING LION TURTLES PART VIII: CURSED FLOW
Saito(Jeannette) and Ariel(Marina) decided to monitor the Oceans to see if anything had changed. They did this by equipping the Pyrostellis Luminares and linking to the Ocean Life. From the Senses of the Ocean Life, they noticed a drastic change in the Oceans. The Great Currents that circulated the Ocean Water carrying both Ocean Wildlife and Nutrients from the Seabed and from Ocean to Ocean had been severed by the Energy Barriers the Weaver Of Calamity had plunged into the Oceans thus there was no flow of Marine Water across the different Oceans that separated the Continents. The Oceans themselves had been divided, separated from one another.
The Weaver Of Calamity had also severed the Flow Of Fresh Water from the Continents into the Oceans. The Elements that fused to generate Ocean Salt from beneath the Earth had however been left unchecked thus the Ocean Salinity was rapidly rising and many Dead Zones (Zones where the Salt Content in the Ocean is so high, no Living Creature can survive within) were being generated within the Ocean.
"The Weaver Of Calamity isn't playing around anymore. It looks like he isolated not only the Continents but the Water Circulation from Continent to Sea and from Ocean to Ocean. At this rate, the Ocean will quickly become inhospitable for Ocean Life and if we don't do something quickly about our Sea Islands as well, the high concentration of Salt will cause rapid corrosion to the metallic Shells and Hulls Of the Islands. The Weaver Of Calamity has indeed triggered a countdown to our demise. We've got to act quickly" Saito noted.
"It appears the Energy Barriers the Weaver Of Calamity has erected are made of Cursed Energy" Ariel said.
"Cursed Energy?" Saito asked.
"It's a Debilitating Kind Of Energy that mostly affects Living Creatures and it is responsible for the Phenomenon Of Decay and Deterioration we see in the Natural World" Ariel explained. "It has a history dating all the way back to the Origin Of The World Itself" Ariel explained.
"The Events Of Eden huh?" Saito asked.
"Yeah, when God cursed Man for their disobedience and attempt to usurp him, he simultaneously brought the Natural World under this curse as well. That is what is meant by the proverb, 'The World came under God's Judgement'. Simply put, Man cannot disconnect his actions from their effects and this would manifest in the World around him. Thus the Natural World became subject to the Phenomenon Of Decay however this Decay would mostly revolve around the operation of Living Entities from the minute Organisms like Man, the Plants and Animals within his Environment to the operations of Colossal Titanic Living Entities like Planets and Stars. The Phenomenon Of Decay revolves around the flow of Energy…the waste that accrues as a result of the transformation of Energy from State to State due to resistance whereas Cursed Energy itself particularly revolves around the Senses" Ariel explained.
"Cursed Energy revolves around the Senses?" Saito asked.
"Yes, for a curse to be made manifest, it's trigger must first be activated by something related to the Senses Of A Living Being thus the Curses Of Demons and Nightmares were designed to revolve around and capitalize on Human Tendency and the Human Weakness that arises from compromised Human Integrity. The Trigger for a Curse is often tied to an unavoidable Tendency whereas the Trigger that breaks the Curse was designed to capitalize on the least likely Tendency or Action the one who is cursed will take. It is a dastardly trap to ensure the Curse deals as much damage as possible" Ariel explained.
"How?" Saito asked.
"In the Creation Story which details how Curses, the Vestiges Of Sin, and the Phenomenon Of Decay came to be, the Serpent's trap revolved around appealing to the Senses Of Mankind. First, he appealed to their Natural Hunger by the attractiveness of the Forbidden Fruit, then he appealed to their Emotional Dissatisfaction by suggesting that God did not have their best interest at heart. Next, he appealed to their intellect by suggesting that by acquiring the Wisdom the Forbidden Fruit possessed and here you must note that the Fruit was not the Fruit Of Wisdom but the Fruit Of Knowledge…Wisdom comes from the appropriate response to Divine Inspiration…another lie the Serpent told by confusing Knowledge for Wisdom…they would be equal to God. He basically got them to deny the Nature God had bestowed upon them as Humans created in His Image and deceived them into trying to acquire what they already had by basically craving what they already had without the knowledge that they already possessed it when on the other hand they had nothing to gain but everything to lose should their gamble fail. By this time the craving of Mankind to usurp the place of God was so great they had forgotten the consequence of this action God had already forewarned them about…Death. By denying their Nature as Humans…they were about to annihilate the Life that came with this Nature as well as its associated Glory thus the Fall From Grace goes beyond losing their place in Eden. They also lost the glory that came with the Original Nature Of Mankind that God had intended for Mankind. Thus most Curses also revolve around Temptations and Temptations in turn revolve around Tendencies. They are basically bad business deals that look attractive on the surface but contain more liabilities than benefits that are concealed behind hidden clauses" Ariel explained.
"I see. So that is why in Christian Texts, God suggests that the way to deal with Curses associated with Temptation is a 'proverbial annihilation of the Sense prone to Temptation' like 'plucking out the Tempted Eye' or 'Severing the Tempted Hand'" Saito realized.
"It's all about eliminating the fascination tied to the object of one's Temptation" Ariel explained.
"You are right" Saito realized.
"And the effects of the Curse often take on the Nature Of The Temptation that triggered the Curse itself. For instance, if one decided to dive without the right equipment, they may be suffocated by the lack of air they forsook. You will note that 'Diving Equipment is forsaken' and that in turn leads to 'Death by Forsaken Air' hence 'lack of inspiration leads to expiration'. If one also attempts to touch a Live Wire without proper insulation, they would be 'shocked to Death' or 'electrocuted to Death'. There is a Deeper meaning here that the 'arrogance' that prevents one from 'being grounded' or 'down to Earth' can 'kill' hence 'Pride goeth before a Fall'. The 'Tendency to Commit Crime' is often due to the 'blatant disregard for both Interpersonal and Societal Boundaries hence it is due to an 'inordinate expression of the Virtue Of Freedom'. The end result of this is ironically often 'imprisonment' or 'confinement' in other words 'being confined to limited space and limited actions'. 'Treason or Betrayal' is all about 'breaking Trust in a way that destroys the life of another'. The usual end result of this especially in the case of 'National Trust' is the 'annihilation of the betrayer via Public Execution' and in more personal cases a 'proverbial societal annihilation of the Life Of The Betrayer…basically that action comes full circle and destroys the life of the betrayer'. It goes with simple things as well especially with Nullifiers. For instance 'refusing to polish precious metals prone to rust' which is a kind of 'protection of the integrity of the precious metal' leads to the 'degradation of the metal when it comes into contact with 'Air' or 'Water'. 'Exposing Wood to Water' and then 'forgetting to dry it' causes the 'Wood to Warp or become Crooked'. In effect, 'the Wood forgets its own virtue of rigidity' and 'tries to assume' the 'fluidity of Water' leading to an 'unnatural warping or crookedness of its Nature or State'. That is what it means for the effects of a curse to take on the Nature of the Temptation that triggered it. The more evil the one who cast the Curse is, the greater the likelihood that the Curse's Trigger exploits an unavoidable Tendency and it's termination trigger revolves around the least likely tendency of the Cursed One" Ariel explained.
"So what are the triggers and effects of the Weaver Of Calamity's current Cursed Energy Barriers?" Saito asked.
"The Nature of his Curse is the 'Restriction Of Flow', the 'Constriction Of Motion' and the 'Creation Of Dead Zones' in response to our attempt to 'Recapture Territory he degraded'" Ariel explained.
"I see! Ariel, you really are brilliant!" Saito praised.
"Don't praise me yet. We are yet to come up with a way to deal with this issue" Ariel said seriously.
Saito nodded.
