Concordia stood before Aera's Archers tutoring them.
"We will begin by honing your Senses. This is the first Component Of Archery. You'll need to master Zone Perception, Depth Perception and Magnetic Perception to proceed to the more advanced lessons I will need to teach you. We shall begin by honing your Zone Perception" Concordia instructed.
"We're ready" Mimi said confidently.
"To hone your Zone Perception requires mastery over the Element Of Wind. In other words, at the very least you must have the ability to bend the surrounding Wind to your will" Concordia said.
"Bend the surrounding wind to our will? Is that even possible?" Mimi asked.
The other Archers were a little skeptical.
"I understand your skepticism for this is not a feat easily achieved however, it is not impossible either. I guess I should start with the basics" Concordia said.
"Please do" Mimi said.
"All of life is born out of elements that inhabit the Cosmos and is maintained particularly by the Balance of the Four Basic Primordial Elements of Fire, Wind, Water and Earth. Each of these elements is circulated via certain organs in our Body and is needed by the Body to function appropriately. Fire for instance generates Warmth which is circulated by the Blood flowing through our Circulatory System. Water insulates the Body from Heat and is absorbed predominantly via the Digestive System into our Bloodstream. Wind enhances the release of energy in our bodies and is circulated via our Respiratory System and Earth provides the body with the energy needed to function and is mostly absorbed via the Food we eat first into the Digestive System and then is assimilated into the Circulatory System. The Key to what I am about to teach you actually lies in the Lightning Energy within our bodies that circumnavigates the Nervous System and is responsible for converting all these forms of energy into Sensory Input and Output" Concordia commenced her explanation.
"What do you mean?" Mimi asked.
"There is another Key Factor that sustains Life and it's this law 'the elements within the Body must always be in harmony with the elements outside the Body'. Let me try to explain this in simple terms. Each of the elements I mentioned exist within the bodies of all Living Organisms however they simultaneously exist outside the bodies of these Living Organisms. The elements existing within the Bodies Of Living Organisms are primarily regulated by Hereditary Factors or Genetics as in traits passed from Parent to Child. The elements that exist outside the Body are regulated by external factors and are collectively termed Environmental Factors. When the Elements within the Body of a Living Organism are in Harmony with the elements outside it, the Organism is in what is generally termed 'The Healthy State'. When there is an imbalance in either the elements within the body or the elements outside it, the Living Organism loses its Healthy State and falls to a 'Diseased State' or in the worst case scenario, a 'Deathly State' Concordia explained.
"Could you give us a practical example?" Mimi asked.
"I'd be happy to. Take temperature for instance. Warm Blooded Mammals have a regular temperature sustained by the Blood circulating their bodies. When the surrounding temperature, that is, the element of Fire within one's surroundings matches the element of Fire within their bodies, the Living Organism feels neither Heat nor Cold but is in somewhat of an ideal temperature generally termed Room Temperature. However, when the element of Fire outside one's body greatly exceeds that of the element of fire within their bodies, the Living Organism feels an uncomfortable Heat. Even in Reptiles that are Cold Blooded and whose temperature is determined by their environment, this can cause them to 'Overheat' and thus fall into a 'Diseased State'. When the reverse is true where the disparity in Internal and External Heat is significant with Internal Heat winning out, the Living Organism feels an uncomfortable Chill. In Reptiles, this causes them to lose energy and enter a 'Hibernation-like State'" Concordia explained.
"I see" Mimi realized what Concordia was getting at.
"And that is just with temperature. There are states associated with the other elements as well. For instance with Wind as well, when a person is deprived of enough external air, they lose internal air as well and suffocate to death. When air levels are too high as well, they are poisoned by the surrounding air. It's all due to an imbalance between internal and external air. Now I'm sure with these examples you understand where I am coming from" Concordia asked.
The Archers nodded.
"There are Degrees Of Harmony between Internal and External Elements as well. When the degree of Harmony is within acceptable range, the Living Organism is in its Healthy State. When the degree of Harmony falls out of acceptable range or is broken, the Living Organism falls either into a 'Diseased State' or a 'Deathly State'. However, when the degree of Harmony is Perfect, the Living Organism completely loses resistance to the Elements within and outside their bodies thus losing the likelihood that a particular element may trigger a Debilitating Stat upon them. In addition, they gain an Extrasensory ability linked to the particular element in question with which they have achieved Perfect Harmony with. In your case, since you are attempting to awaken Zone Perception first, you'll need to achieve Perfect Harmony by aligning the element of Wind within you with the element of Wind surrounding you" Concordia explained.
