At around the time Ciella and I had been preparing to utilize the Sagittarius System to make contact with our people, Keiran and Concordia were preparing to do same from their section of Mount Olympus. They accessed the Gemini System allowing them to view their Villagers' stats as well as the Village's resources.
"It's about time we chose our Avatars" Keiran said as he cycled through the list of Villagers.
"We should choose Avatars that can allow us to utilize our skills freely. An Avatar that can either comprehend or complement our skillsets would be the best. We should also avoid doing anything that could be interpreted by our Villagers as a potential threat" Concordia advised.
"I just found someone who fits the description you've just given. His name's Zachary and he's an Alchemist" Keiran said.
"An Alchemist huh?" Concordia seemed impressed.
"Yeah, I'm counting on his understanding of the elements, their unique traits and properties as well as their applications" Keiran said.
"Good for you" Concordia said with a chuckle.
"What about you? Any luck yet?" Keiran asked.
"I just found someone. Her name's Aera. Apparently, she's an Archer and has a firm grasp of Wind Element Techniques" Concordia said.
"Then it's about time we activated the Sagittarius System" Concordia said with a thumbs up.
"Sure thing" Keiran replied.
MEANWHILE…
At the base of Olympus and many miles inland was a great Desert. The path to the Coastal Regions had all been cut off by the Weaver Of Calamity's forces. Trapped within the Desert was the Windy Rock Region where Concordia and Keiran had originally established their Village. However since the Coastal Regions had been cut off, there were very limited Food Resources and these could only be found within the few Oases scattered about the Region. The people of the Reborn Azure Dragon Peristylium who lived in the Windy Rock Region currently lived the lives of nomads in search of Water and Fertile Lands.
During their many journeys, they periodically came into confrontation with the Weaver Of Calamity's Forces. The Weaver Of Calamity's forces however never approached the Oases the people discovered once the people discovered one. This was because the Water within the Oases also had Phoenix Tears flowing through them. The purified Sea Water joined the Rain Cycle as well as underground Water Circulation Systems and made it to the Oases via underground springs. Thus the people would live at peace once they discovered an Oasis. They could live at peace for as long as the resources held within the Oasis weren't exhausted but once they exhausted the resources within the Oasis, they'd have to migrate once more and live the lives of nomads and during their journeys they came face to face with many hardships in the form of the Weaver Of Calamity's Crowbats who attacked and killed some of their livestock as well as the Minotaurs, Wolfbanes and Bloodhounds within the Weaver Of Calamity's forces. The people of this Region were generally shepherds who made their livelihood by caring for Sheep, Cattle, Camels, Donkeys, Horses and Mules. They knew that the animals they cared for were the key to their survival so they cared for their livestock as they cared for their very own lives. It wasn't uncommon to see a Villager get injured trying to defend livestock from the Weaver Of Calamity's Forces. Another Vital Skill they learnt was to cover their tracks as they journeyed. They had a group of Villagers amongst their ranks specifically appointed to move behind the entire party and erase their footprints and scents. Of this group, the Archer Aera was the leader. The group had finally found a new Oasis whose resources they knew they had to manage prudently. They had many tough decisions to make as they had to strike a balance between the number of livestock they could breed and the resources the Oasis had to offer. The more livestock they had, the quicker they depleted the resources of the Oasis since the livestock would overgraze killing new growth before it had a chance to flourish yet the less livestock they had, the less food they would have for their journeys once they depleted the resources within the Oasis. It was a particularly tough time for this group.
