Concordia spent a week trying to master her ability to expand her Sensory Field. After the week passed her parents returned. They stood within the Pendragon-Kenyah Training Field in XCalibur AOP 2.
"Concordia, by now I'm certain you have realized that the concept of Zone Control isn't exactly new to you. The entire point of the Practical Sessions in the Mountain Of Olympus level was to teach you and your comrades Zone Control" Victoria explained.
Concordia recalled the Seven Fields and how they were divided into Enhancing and Debilitating Zones. She recalled the techniques we had employed to transform each Zone from a Debilitating into an Enhancing Zone.
"I see" she realized.
"You should have begun to realize that the entire concept of Zone Control revolves around 'Balance' in other words the concept behind the 'Libra Skill'. The entire concept of Amplifiers and Nullifiers all revolve around the concept of Balance. Amplifiers basically exist to either restore or enhance an ally's balance. Nullifiers on the other hand exist to throw an adversary's balance off" Victoria explained.
"The final move San utilized against the Weaver Of Calamity…" Concordia thought.
"It is exactly as you imagine Concordia. That was a nullifying move. When executed perfectly, nullifying techniques result in Mutually Assured Destruction for the parties or forces involved. That is why the Weaver Of Calamity's status switched from 'Immortal' to 'Mortal' the moment San inhaled a bit of the poison in his Zone. You'll also notice that the Weaver Of Calamity fell into Zan's Zone just as your team crossed over into the Weaver Of Calamity's Zone. That act initiated the special condition 'Revolution' allowing Mitsuki's sigil to enter its Active State without having to fulfil the requirement of downing four hundred adversaries" Victoria explained.
"So that's how a Guard Break works" Concordia realized.
"What San utilized was a counteroffensive Guard Break which allowed him to destroy the Weaver Of Calamity's balance by taking damage from the Weaver Of Calamity's attacks. That was why the 'Resilience Skill' activated" Face explained.
"I've got to develop Zone Control Techniques of my own. I've got a few ideas I'd like to try out" Concordia said.
Her parents led her to a wide field.
"Basically, if I could develop techniques that create Debilitating Zones for my adversaries or Enhancing Zones for my allies, I would be on the right track to mastering Zone Control" Concordia said.
"That's right" Victoria said.
"KRAKEN ANDROMEDA VER DREAM REALM BORDER WALL DEFENSE!" Concordia called as countless arrows materialized in the space surrounding them.
"First, I'll summon my arrows in their usual forms" Concordia thought.
"Let's help you focus by generating simulations of the Weaver Of Calamity's forces" Victoria said.
At that moment, Omnicron appeared within the field.
"KRAKEN ANDROMEDA! AERIAL VOLLEY MODE!" Concordia called as her arrows rained on the Omnicron.
She watched as her arrows broke the Omnicrons' charge thus destroying their penetrative force.
"That's not all! Disintegrate!" Concordia called out as her arrows disintegrated.
"AERIAL MAELSTROM!" Concordia called as her arrows' particles were blown fiercely by fields of wind orbiting her arrows thus damaging the Omnicron with the Arrows' Fragments. "AERIAL MAELSTROM LEVEL TWO! LIGHTNING STUN FIELD!" Concordia called out as the fierce friction amongst her arrows' particles generated currents of Lightning that stunned and effectively immobilized all the Omnicron.
"Impressive, she first generated her arrows in their full forms and used them to break the Omnicron's charge, then disintegrated the arrows while coordinating the fragments with an Aerial Maelstrom thus dealing additional damage with the sharp fragments. Utilizing the friction amongst the fragmented particles, she finally generated a Lightning Field to Stun the Omnicron and effectively rendered them immobile. It's a much more complex technique than it seems a first glance. As usual, Concordia sure is impressive when it comes to conceptualizing techniques" Victoria said.
"Seeing how gifted she was, we figured she'd eventually run into an insurmountable wall once she reached the point where there were no more worthy challenges" Face said.
Concordia overheard her parents.
"Actually, I did run into a wall after developing Kraken Andromeda's Dream Realm Border Wall Defense Mode…but Keiran helped me overcome that wall. I realized that in hindsight, my talent was my greatest adversary and that my challenges were the source of my inspiration" Concordia said.
"Did you hear that Vikki? It looks like our little girl turned out alright" Face said proudly.
